I fly out tuesday. My oldest stepbrother that has not seen his father in 10 years was trying to start crap with my mom but since the only other child that served Jaimie told him if he starts anything he's toast. The service butchered the obit. http://obits.oregonlive.com/obituaries/oregon/obituary.aspx?n=veral-h-blunck&pid=170787370&fhid=11522

That sucks Jerry. I hope things work out. I admire anyone that has served for one. And to receive the purple heart. More respect!!

Sad to hear it and condolences to the family. Small world, he was a bus driver for Lake Oswego School District and I went to Lake Oswego High for 2 years.

Sorry to hear of the demise of another old soldier. The remaining number of WWII vets is getting much smaller with the passing of each day.
Our appreciation for their service can be easily displayed by helping them get around when possible.

I doubt I will see another generation as great. Just wonder if the country will ever have another.

Good service and a great Army crew doing the service. My real dad and uncle were there since there was never any issues with the two. I found the paper clipping I was looking for.44233
