Anybody know of a good look through scope mount for a ar 15?

I need a look thru mount that I can use with a scope and a flip up sight. I have the a2 style front sight with the carry handle rear sight with a Leuapold mount that attaches the scope to it, with a Nikon 3x32 scope. But is difficult to look through the little hole in the mount, the mounting stud blocks part of the view. So I am hoping to find good look thru mount.

The amount of rise you'll need to be able to use an A2 sight with the scope above it is going to be insane. I'd look at other options personally.

Study some 3 gun video's or pictures. Competition weeds out the bad ideas.

So, are you looking for a mount that attaches directly to the rail on top of the receiver or are you trying to keep the scope on top of the carry handle?

Think the OP has an A2 upper, he has a rail mount that attaches to the A2 upper (for the scope). But that's blocking his sight picture using the built in rear sight.

I don't think there is one, unless you go the 45 degree route for backup sights.

Something like this would work in combination with rings tall enough to to be able to see under the scope, but then he wouldn't be worried about a proper cheek weld, he would need to worry about proper chin weld.........[LOL]
