CNN (http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/29/justice/georgia-fedex/index.html?hpt=hp_t2)

Atlanta, Georgia (CNN) -- The suspect in a shooting that sent six people to the hospital early Tuesday in suburban Atlanta has died "from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound," police said.
Officers were still "sweeping" the area to confirm that there were no additional threats, Public Information Officer Mike Bowman said.
A caller alerted police to the shooting at 5:54 a.m. at the facility in Kennesaw, Bowman said. It is located about a 25-mile drive northwest of downtown Atlanta.
The six injured people were taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where at least one person was undergoing surgery, hospital spokesman Tyler Pearson said.

Your thread title is pretty crass. I wholeheartedly agree the policy is wrong, but gloating over the dead portrays exactly the attitude the anti's expect and hope to see from us.

Too soon, fine, but we cannot be afraid to call BS when seen.

It's not crass, it's an honest assessment of what these policies reap. I'm angry. This experiment with gun free zones is long over, the data is in and the conclusion is that it's causing people to die.

Stop assuming the lawful will be lawless (the "Office arguments will break out into shootouts!" argument) and the lawless to be lawful (expecting a murderer to obey a sign) and start SAVING lives by allowing people to carry.

Well stated, still a tasteless thread title, put yourself in the shoes of a fence sitter on the second amendment. You'd think the gun owners are callous assholes. The title could easily be changed to still get the point across and not be so cold hearted. FedEx policy is stupid, but someone has injured/possibly dead loved ones to consider.

Great at video by the way.

Well put! All but two major shootings in the last 30 years have been in "Gun Free Zones." I think that's telling enough, gun free zones are only that to those who would respect the rule of law and the policies enacted by the property owner to prohibit a means of defense at their location... bad guys on the other hand... As if the left believes the gunman will just put down his gun and walk away if told "Hey! You can't have that here, this is a gun free zone!"

ZERO THEORY
04-29-2014, 10:26
Unfortunately, this will just further build support for gun free zones, OP. If you're expecting antis and bleeding heart liberals to recant their positions over hard data, anecdotal accounts, or empirical evidence you clearly don't understand just how far the delusion and denial of the liberal mindset goes.

+ 1 I believe that the presence of a "gun free zone" puts lives in danger, so why not be angry?

Has anyone ever considered that gun free zones are generally places with high capacity of people al in one place, so it may be merely a coincidence that people who intend to shoot a lot of people also go to those same places?

rbeau30
04-29-2014, 12:28
A lot of those folks also kill themselves at the first sign of resistance/cops with guns.

I do not know real statistics, but it sure seems the cowards want to do the most damage before they have to take themselves out.

Yup.

"Feelings, nothing more than feelings...."

Let's just reflect a little on where being worried about hurting somebodies wittle feelers has us today, it is now known as "Political Correctness:
Can't keep score at a Little League game.
Everybody gets a trophy.
Everybody passes, even if it means dragging those that excel down.
Those with immoral and perverted behaviors are now "equal".
The little "girl" can now use the Girls bathroom even though he is a biological boy.
"In God We Trust"- destroyed
Prayer in schools- destroyed
Traditional American values- destroyed
The rise in "racism".
The vast majority of the Liberal ideology is based on "Feelings".

Yep, being worried about hurting people's feelings has gotten us far.....

Disclaimer: the following statement may hurt somebodies feelings.

We are too godammed worried about what others think. Fuck em if they don't like it. Be a man, say what you think and have conviction.
I could care less what somebody else may think, I am not here to please and cater to other people's feelings and whims.
"Political Correctness" can kiss my ass, it is the death of our American culture and I find it abhorrent.

Doesn't even register on my "Giveafuckometer"

I also remember standing up and saying the Pledge of Allegiance every morning after our morning prayer. (I went to Catholic School)
And I dare not get in trouble at school or anywhere because the parentals put the fear of corporal punishment in me. (and some of the older nuns)

So let me see if I understand. It's useless to use hard data, anecdotal accounts, or empirical evidence to reason with the antis. That leaves us with emotion. And many are telling me not to use emotion.

Well, that leaves us with nothing. Might as well collect 'em all up and turn 'n in then.

It was reported by the police very early this morning that they only found a shotgun. No other weapons. Of course that fact always seems to escape the mass media who find it impossible to not report that an EBR was used.

I agree. People like him should just take care of their issues by themselves.

And it always makes me a little mad when in similar incidents the media and police report the number killed and include the bad guy in the total. They don't deserve to be included in the same list of the people they hurt. So as far as I am concerned, nobody died as a result of the murder attempts at FedEx today. Some people were hurt and number of piles of shit walking around this planet has been reduced by one.

Firearms are nothing more than tools. Anyone, on the left or right spectrum, can insert his or her own definition what these, or any other, tools are used for.

When all is said and done, nothing can be done to stop insanity; which is the true cause of these acts.
