With a total combined output of 950bhp, LaFerrari will get from 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds, hit 124mph four seconds later, and top out ‘in excess' of 218 miles an hour.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaang!

918 is better, and you can actually have one (assuming of course you've got a million dollars, if so PM me and I'll sell you one)

And I suspect the McLaren P1 is even better.

And I suspect the Koenigsegg One:1 will end up outperforming all of them and without any of that damn hippie hybrid crap :D

Also, dumbest name EVER for a Ferrari

+1 for the Porsche. And it's not owned by Fiat, that owns Chrysler. The Porsche could be a daily driver.

But the true question is... Which one will the ladies like more? Because honestly that is why I would buy a super car.

This one gives me a chubby...Not the typical looking Ferrari of old.

Only time I have ever hear Mr. Clarkson say "less power"!

This despite the fact that to simply be considered LaFerrari ownership material, you needed (a) at least five Ferraris in your collection and (b) a first-name-terms relationship with Ferrari (http://www.topgear.com/uk/tags/Ferrari) Chairman Luca Di Montezemolo, who personally approved all 499 owners. And thankfully let us have a shot, too.

I can't stand Luca Di Montezemolo.
It is probably easier to be on a first-name-terms relationship with Lopez (http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2012/09/19/f1-fanatic-roundup-199/boul-lope-lotu-2012/), Dennis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Dennis), Zetsche (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zetsche).

ERS w/o MGU-H, and only MGU-K (basically KERS) for an old technology for a 1mil pound is kinda steep.
However, I would rather get LaFerrari than that Bugatti Veyron.

Sadly it probably won't be driven. I used to work there and they said when they get one they'll throw a little party and off it goes on a trailer to some rich dude's warehouse to sit and look pretty. Such a shame...Ferrari is only sending one of these to Colorado

Yeah, hybrid (KERS) was the thing for F1 in the past .
Within decade, manufacturers will most likely get into a turbo within the hybrid bandwagon. (ERS)
Hybrid on a turbo turbine.

Honestly...give me a 3/4 ton pickup any day. Doesn't even have to be a fancy one. Not saying the cars aren't badass, just not really practical for anything I do.

I know both of the owners of the black and red enzos and surprisingly the laferrari won't go to either of them. It's going to some guy out east who has a warehouse of over 30+ cars or something like that

Since when were Ferraris, Lambos or any super car supposed to be practical?

"First 'used' Ferrari LaFerrari goes on sale for $3.2 million. Digital Trends. Used LaFerrari – in 'like new' condition – on sale for the low, low price of $3.2 million. Applying to buy a limited edition Ferrari is more demanding than applying for Harvard" per a quick google search.

I dont think you would buy this car because you would want to drive it. I guarantee this will only go up in price. The first "Hybrid" Ferarri, imagine in 20 years what it would be worth, crap or not.

It was pointed out on Top Gear that "La" translates to "The".

That makes this car "the Ferrari The Ferrari"

The 2013-2014 Shelby 1000 S/C is available with 1200 HP at the flywheel...And its a good ol' American V8.

Blame it on my inner mullet but I'm not a big fan of super or hyper cars. I appreciate the technology and capabilities but I'd rather have this personally:

My cousin has both an SS and a ZL1 and while they are cool as shit... they don't come even close to a super car let alone a hyper car. Face it, it's still a GM. Same thing as the GT-R even though I will probably own one one day... it's still a Nissan when you get right down to it. The Viper was also a Dodge and the Corvette is still a GM. No matter how you slice is and how much I like some of those cars there's just something about a Lamborghini, an Aston Marin or a Ferrari.

They're definitely completely different classes of cars. Super/Hyper cars just don't do anything for me. It's probably the realist in me.

I agree. GTR , c7 stingray, or even F10 M5 cannot become one of those super cars. People who can afford a super car already have a/bunchof daily driver vehicle(s).

Yes, i would also like to own a GTR as a DD car someday as well.

There's video I was just watching of an 1800hp twin turbo Gallardo eating GTR's like that for lunch. It was a pretty impressive display of speed indeed.

Meh, I'd rather keep my '99 Sebring than buy anything from Government Motors. Not sure when I'll buy another car but it sure as hell won't be from a company with Obama's bootprints on it.

Not from the US government, but Italy is still basically a fascist oligarchy so I guarantee you that Ferrari gets a steady stream of cash from Rome.

If you're going to buy your hypercars based on the most entrepreneurial/capitalist builder, we're back to the Koenigsegg.

That said, none of us here are the market for hypercars ... really to be on that level you have to be part of the international cabal of industrialists and bankers that rule the world from behind the scenes (or one of their reptilian overlords).

And for what one of them cost you could buy an Ariel Atom, a new house with a huge garage and have every bit as much fun and still have money left over.

For me, my tastes are so pedestrian that my "money no object" car is a Singer 911 ... and I'd be happiest with an early BMW 2002 running an E30 M3 drivetrain ... and I could be into that for less than the cost of a new M3.

MrPrena
04-30-2014, 21:37
I also like the fact that GTR and 911 Turbo S launch control can be used wayyyyy more frequently than any other manufacturer's launch control.

I personally don't like open road testing (due to danger), but this guy has so many launch video on YouTube.

You mean E46 M3 (if 2002)? Good choice either way. E30, E36, E46 and E9x are all good cars.
Not a fan of F8x M3 6cyl turbo (2015+) at all.
One of the guy (uae247 on google) at Abu Dhabi UAE got the first new M3/4 delivery in the world. Still not suppose to be out for public yet.

if you want to start pointing fingers then you need to look at the your fellow man that belong to the union. Believe me i hate obama as much as anyone, but if you think that the unions would have allowed any president the choice in this matter I have some ocean front property in Arizona that needs a buyer.

It is the stranglehold the union has on the auto industry that is to blame here.

once the marbles were rolling toward bailing out any industry this was inevitable.
