View Full Version : OWB G20 Holster Options w/ Light
I'm looking for an outside the waistband holster for a Glock 20 with light. I'd prefer something in a "paddle" style similar to the DeSantis Tac-Lite http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/2-DSG117TAW8Z0 but I'm having a hard time finding something. I'd prefer leather and something that is not a "duty" rig. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks - Chris
It's kydex but I'd check with colorado holsters.

Thanks! Am I right in thinking that a holster that fits a Gen 3 G20 or G20SF will fit a Gen 4 20?
Yeah you are

I have a Colorado Holster for my light bearing 4" 1911. I use it daily as my carry and like it so far.

Mine are set for left and seem to be fine

If I wanted a holster for that sort of setup I would have one made to my specifications. There are several members here who could probably hook you up. I prefer the kydex stuff myself.

Garrett Silent Thunder.
Just got mine in for my 1911's and it is amazing.
Leather lined kydex is the best of both worlds.
I plan on doing a review soon, but in the meantime look them up.
A simple phone call and they made mine with a few custom touches... Great to work with.

X2, I carry daily with a Garrett AIWB and it's the best holster I've ever owned.
Well, I like to support local when I can and the price was reasonable so I ordered a Colorado Holster. Ironically enough I went with one without the light. Will report back when it gets here. (about a week)

I have a Colorado Holster for G17 with TRL-1s and love it. My father recently purchased holster for his G20 w/TLR-1s from here: http://www.redlegtactical.com/Stage-2-Kydex-Holster-with-Thumb-Break-146201.htm. It incorporates a thumb break. I am waiting to see how his turned out before I order mine for my G20. I wanted a thumb break as I will be using my G20 for camping and trail riding on my dirt bike.
Cool - let me know how the red leg holster is
Well after my last post I had buyers remorse and changed my order BACK to the model that was light compatible. The holster arrived this week and is fantastic! Thanks for the links guys!

After two weeks of waiting finally got it in. This is for my dad since he is right handed.
Pros
The lines are nice and defined to the gun
Thumb break works excellent and is not hard to operate
Nice front sight channel
All edges are clean and rounded
Good hardware
Cons
Trigger is not 100% covered. You can actually get your finger in there enough to pull while its holstered (emailed them about it and we may be sending it back)
Retention is a bit tight but I am sure it will loosen up after some use
Overall it looks like a good holster. As stated, we may be sending it back to them to see if they can cover the trigger guard some more. The TLR-1s is wider than the glock so it won't be flush but I would like to see the kydex ride a bit higher up on the gun to cover the trigger. It was their first time molding a Glock 20 with a TLR-1s. If we get it all figured out, I will be ordering one for my Glock 20.
