Try the Asian markets, there is something very similar in several of Asian cultures. Salted dried fish that is, not the Jamacian dish.

Dried Bolinao or Filipino dried fish. Wish you would have asked yesterday. There's a guy driving out from jersey, but he left friday afternoon.

He is loaded up with ring dings, devil dogs and yoyo's

Hmmm... had you asked last week, I could have brought some back from Boston yesterday. Bacalhau is also a Portuguese staple.

And I know where you prefer to go to get it. I still remember that meal. The food was good but the company was better!
