I miss winter.
74 in my house right now. Gonna have to hook up the swamper soon. Sigh. I miss my house being 60 degrees.

80 is nothing, unless you just moved here from Nome Alaska.

I kept the shop and my house at about 60 all winter. This is melting me.

I have a swamp cooler waiting to go on my roof. Today I was wishing I'd already done it.

It's pretty breezy around my house, so we've just kept most of the windows open whenever we're home and it's been between 60 and 72 in the house all week with no heat or a/c. I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

It's 102 here in bakersfield
Yeah, not looking forward to a few weeks from now when it will be 90 outside and 88 in my house with windows open and fans going.... Fuck summer right in the ass with a 2 foot spiked dildo with a Briggs and Stratton engine for a vibrator.

Reading from my truck today around 2:15 in Littleton. The outside thermometer at the house pretty much confirmed this as it said 89.5.

My house gets hot too. Days like today will easily see it go to 80 inside. It just bakes in the afternoon. I took an infrared thermometer reading of my west outside wall this afternoon and it was 130deg. Wish they made house siding out of mirrors, that would help keep it cool!

No kidding kept it at 58 all winter. Can't believe it was 81 for a high today in Drake. Guess I should have moved to Nome Alaska!
I had a great day pouring concrete in this weather
I was hoping for a springtime that lasted longer than a week!
I'm ready for warm weather… from 60s to mid-80s…. too soon… I don't mind it Hot. Just not so fast!

It was not cold enough. Not enough snow. Not enough winter.

Yep. Wouldn't mind if summer decided to top off at about 70*F for a few years.
It was not cold enough. Not enough snow. Not enough winter. I whole heartily agree. Summer can come and go in a week, and I'd be happy. I hate mowing....as much as anything else that comes with summer.

I have realized that while I like the idea of having a back and front yard, I really really really hate the reality of having one. I hate to work in the yard. Hate it.

Was 80 in my house when I went to bed last night. Needless to say it took a long time to fall asleep. I think the bedroom AC will be going in today after work.

For that exact reason I'm going to do away with a front "lawn" when my wife and I buy our own house and install raised bed gardens. Maintaining a lawn is downright stupid in my opinion. We'd be much better off growing our own veggies and literally enjoying the fruits of our labor. At least tending to a raised bed is WAY easier and it's something that I actually enjoy doing. I'll probably do the same to the majority of the back yard too, with a small section of grass for our daughter to play in.

Grass does not grow well in such an arid environment. In rainy environments (midwest, east coast, northwest, most of the south) grass grows so well that it chokes out other weeds and maintaining it consists of relatively little work. Here, you have to spend money and commit a lot of energy just to keeping it alive. I have about 1,000 sq ft of grass behind my patio and the rest of the back and all of the front yard is xeriscaped. The only reason I have any grass is for the kid and dog to play on.

You guys should get your home windows tinted. It hasn't been above 70 in my house yet. Fan on and that's it...

woke to a couple fresh inches of snow this morning. I love spring, and snow.[Beer]
I was happy about the rain last night. I hate watering as well. Next house I'm going to build and the yard will be that fake grass. No watering, no sprinkler headaches, no mowing, no weeds, nada!

Just thinking about the 90's coming this summer makes me want to hook up the RV and go work in Montana this summer.

Well said.
It cost too much $$$ to grow good grassed lawn in CO. Much easier to grow grass lawn in WA and OH. Even in non-valley southern CA, water their lawn 1-2 per week.

Yeah, I found your missing winter - couple inches of wet, heavy snow on the I25 between Northgate and Academy Blvd on my drive home this afternoon made for a "special" springtime driving experience.
I thought I was the only one who liked 60. My house is set at 61 in the winter. When I tell people what I have my thermostat set at I get deer in the headlights looks.
Sweatshirts and Robes are cheap compared to gas and electric.
House is 60 degrees this morning, to chilly for me. Might have to turn the furnace back on.

Looks like you're getting lucky on Sunday! Too bad I already took the winter tires off the Allroad. May be driving the truck to go ski on Sunday.

I've long felt that I need to get my money out of all the down jackets I own. We have electric blankets under the dog beds in various rooms but I simply layer-up in Winter.
