Pleasantly surprised. You can now renew your Utah CHP online. You need to be able to upload a passport quality photo and a photo of your Colorado permit. $15.75 to renew with a turnaround of 2-4 weeks. Took me all of 5 or 6 mins to apply for the renewal.

Must be nice to live in a firearm friendly state.

What's the advantage of getting Utah if you already have a Colorado CCW?

It's not as beneficial as it used to be. Only 4 extra states now. At the time I got mine it was probably twice that. Now I just renew it because it's easy and it's only $15.

LOL @ 2-4 weeks... mine took six days to arrive in my mailbox. [Coffee]

That was kinda what I was thinking. But you never know.

UPDATE: Received the new permit today. Applied online Monday, received the permit in the mail Fri. It doesn't get any better than that. The quick turnaround is partially due to the fact they send the permit to you contingent on a satisfactory FBI background check. So that saves a lot of time. But I'm not worried about that, of course.

I'll add for the benefit of others: They do that because it's state issued and if you pop up for anything, they suspend it.

FWIW, I think my first issue took less than 4 weeks.
