View Full Version : Which county has the most CCW holders?
Heard a rumor that it's Boulder. Somehow I doubt it. Is there a public tally of total and per capita?
My guess would be El Paso

I'd say El Paso too. As a % of residents, I'd guess Weld.

Gross total? I'd actually bet Jeffco over El Paso, having lived in both. But per capita, Weld is probably a solid bet.
Although not necessarily up to date, there used to be online stats for this kind of info (number applied for, number granted, number denied, etc).

WELD, if you factor in how many people were able to obtain a permit, before it became law / state wide issue. WELD takes the prize. NFA, WELD
No appointment to drop off NFA paperwork, no wondering why it's taking more than 24-48 hrs for return of paperwork WELD.
Prior to getting a trust, it was usually walk in and wait for sign off.

Boulder equals that (Subaru's in the streets, and all)

WELD. How long did it take BCSO to sign off on permits and NFA? Weld has been doing it for an easy 25 years.
90 days for boulder permit signatures. (92 for me)
dunno about NFA items
My bet is on Weld.
Got mine from WELD.
If the govt allows, I would rather drive all the way up to O st than drive 30min to Adams to renew my permit.

According to this: Legally Armed (http://legallyarmed.com/ccw_statistics.htm) Colorado had 139,560 in 2012 (don't know where the number comes from). Here says the same thing (http://www.inquisitr.com/444177/concealed-carry-permit-statistics-by-state-report/)
Couldn't find anything on a per county basis.

A lot of us in larimer.
I'll bet Mesa County is right up there with Jeffco, El Paso, Larimer and Weld as far as percent of CCW in the population. Too bad there isn't a current database of stats but only the CBI could do that.

If anyone were to ask which Colorado County has issued the lowest number of CCW permits, Las Animas would probably be in the running for the lowest number.
