View Full Version : cheap on site temp. storage/enclosed trailer wanted
My wife and I are having a new house built on 40 acres S. of Elizabeth. We'd like to move some stuff out of our current house which is N.E. of Elizabeth, over to the new house and store it which would allow us to do some painting and other prep. work to prepare our current house for sale, as soon as the new house is complete. I checked into a pod and holy crap, they aren't cheap. What I'd like to do is find a fully enclosed trailer that no one needs for about a month and I'd be willing to pay $50., and the trailer would simply be sitting on the new property, until we move in and empty it back out. I think this would be a lot easier than renting a storage unit in town and moving stuff there and then getting it out of storage and loading it a 2nd time to haul to the house. Plus, when it comes time to empty the trailer, we could simply back it up to the house to unload. Just looking for the easiest and cheapest option. If anyone has a trailer that we could use, let me know. New house should be finished by middle of next month.

Did you look into the PODS? You know the deal where they pull up with a connex type box, you load it and they take it to their storage. Holler when your ready and they deliver it.

Sorry, I missed it.
Check CL, there is probably a trucking company that may want to store a trailer.

many used rougher trailers 53' are sold for around $2000. Pay someone to deliver it where you want it, park it for as long as you need it and sell it when you are done. More than likely you can get all of your money back or if you shop smart you can actually make some money..... voila!
$1500

Build shed
store things in shed
store garden things in shed when done
thanks for the suggestions. As far as building a shed, we will be building a nice one, but not until we sell the current house that we're in. And as far as Ebay, I don't and ain't gonna start now, but again, thanks for the suggestion.

They are everywhere... not just ebay. In Denver area alone I would estimate there are 1-5,000 53' box trailers for sale in that price range.
Ebay was an example that they are available for the price I said.
Contact any local shipping/delivery company. You will have a trailer possible closer than you think, like Franktown or Castle Rock.
I know a few in the small Town of Peyton.
I'd bet there are some right there in Elizabeth.
