So, I'm looking for the experiences of those of you with no military or law enforcement background in a couple of areas. Just for the sake of a little social experiment for my own knowledge. Please keep the replies short and simple.

Have you ever had a firearm intentionally pointed at you for any reason or had shots fired at you?

Have you ever intentionally pointed a firearm at or shot at another human being?

I'll go first....

I had two police officers draw their weapons on me once but have not been shot at.

I have never pointed a weapon towards another human being much less fired a shot at a person.

Never pointed a firearm at anyone.[Awesom]

Yes, robbed at gunpoint on Black Friday back in '93 at my video games store in Littleton

Have you ever intentionally pointed a firearm at or shot at another human being?

Pulled a gun with the intent of shooting whoever was trying to bust in through my front door at my apt in Aurora, but they left after my neighbor yelled at them Does that count?

Never shot at anyone other than those on the TV screen in my own little world.

1991, working security at night club, drunk belligerent guest who did not like being escorted out of club. Returned with 22 revolver, took 4 shots at myself and 2 other staff in the parking lot.

Never had to point or fire my pistol at anyone. Have pulled back coat/shirt to reveal it and head off confrontation.

Lobbed from my electronic ball and chain.

Never pointed one at anyone

To question one: Do NDs count ? If so, twice, from other persons, one drew blood.
Question two: pulled out and pointed a firearm with full intension of shooting, but they turned tail and ran.

My brother once spun around on me and swept me with the gun in his hand when we were plinking. He turned around in anger and I punched him in the arm.

I've drawn my gun once on a person on my back porch, and once on a loose dog while on a run. I pointed at neither.

Seriously, though, I have been drawn on (twice), but never shot at. I have been showered with birdshot, by an inconsiderate hunter.
Have never drawn on, or aimed at, anyone.

Pointed at me several times, once in high school some gang bangers surrounded me and some friends, words were exchanged one of the gang bangers pulled some small Uzi type gun out that was full auto and fired a burst into the air. We all scrammed quickly.

Once in high school in my car driving away from a "friends" house I heard something hit the back of my car. Knowing the guy I though he may have thrown an egg, so I got up the street and pulled over to wash it off as I had a really nice '65 bug and didn't want it screwing up the paint. When I got out I found a .45 hole 2" below the back window right in line with my head. The inner panel deflected the round. Kid spent one night in jail and that was it, never even had to pay for my car. Last I heard, he joined the marines.

Another time I got pulled over on colorado blvd after a cop chased me for 4 miles. I hit 165mph at my highest. Backstory, just once I wanted to see how fast the bike was so I took off from a light riding a wheels and didn't let off, once I hit 165 that was plenty and I held it there. When I came to a stop sign I stopped, traffic was busy, after about 30 seconds I see a cop pull up. He was pissed to say the least. Turns out he was sitting behind me when I took off from the first light.

The next time was by about 5 cops all at once. I owned a large trailer park at one time and the manager called me and told me they had found another meth lab there. I jumped into the truck and drove over. When I got there I pulled up to where all the cops were and got out, they asked who I was and I said I owned the place. They thought I meant I lived in that trailer, turns out the guy who lived there fit my description and had gone missing. They tossed me to the ground at gunpoint, and it took a few minutes before I could get them to understand what I was trying to say.

The eh only time I have ever drawn my weapon was one time I was emptying the shit tank on my camper, right next to the dump site were several crack heads living in a trailer with a mean ass pitbull outside unfenced, and unleashed. The dog was pissed, but didn't get closer than 20'. I kept my gun at high ready while my friend emptied the tank. The crack heads just kept saying what a nice dog he was, I don't think they ever saw my gun.

Im seeing a theme in this thread, it looks like the cops are the ones running around pointing guns at people.

do have a good story actually.

Accused of and acquitted of pointing a gun at someone. They finally admitted to the cops ( right before trial and after I was summonsed ) that they lied about it. Got hemmed up cuz I didn't retreat from the situation with menacing the catch-all when no one can really get you for anything but the justice system has to recoup money for all the hassle.

Roommate in college thought it would be funny to tap on the dorm room window at night with a revolver pointed at me. Roommate was met in hallway and hoisted off the floor and pinned to the wall with my left hand and got the verbal hint that I didn't find it funny with the right fist locked and loaded. That never happened again.

...and never pointed at or shot at anyone.

Thanks. I figured being military or law enforcement highly increased the probability of guns pointed either way or shots being fired. Trying to rule those factors out in my highly unscientific experiment here.

Short Answer: Yes and Yes

Long Answer:
Passenger in a car pointed a pistol at me when I was a kid riding my bike down the street. Dove into a ditch.

Got accidentally shot with dove-shot from about 40 yards when I was 14. 4 pellets in the arm and side. Kid's dad handled it.

Owner of some acreage pointed a shotgun at me when we were drinking beer in the woods in High School. We politely departed.

Got shot with rock salt by a rancher in college in Nacogdoches, TX. Cow tipping is not only bogus, it's dangerous.

Douche-bag grabbed a pistol out of the glove box and pointed it at a group of us while we were putting him into his truck. He was being asked to leave a party. He lost his pistol and received a beating.

Had a friend point a shotgun at me as a joke when trying to break into his house, drunk, as a joke. Dove/fell off the roof.

Pointed a shotgun at two bangers attempting to jimmy my sliding glass door around lunch time. They ran. Cops caught them. At that time, I only owned hunting weapons. I then decided to buy defensive weapons.

Drew a pistol on a drunk attempting to open my wife's car door. She was inside the car pointing her pistol at him at the same time. He put his hands as high as he could, slowly turned around and walked away. Don't even think he noticed me running at him from down the block.

Flashed a pistol at a douche-bag forcefully putting his woman into his truck. He put her down. She climbed into the bed of the truck and he drove off cussing me.

Witnessed a banger shootout 10 yards from my apartment window. 9 shots fired, no one hit.

Wife pointed a shotgun at the door when a douche-bag was banging on it looking for me. I was not home. I had a run-in with him the day before when he did not want to let his girlfriend leave. Cops handled it.

Everything took place in Texas. Colorado has been safer.

We always answer the door with a pistol in hand. Haven't had to show it.

1987 cops drew on me late one night, they were looking for a felon, i happened to be in the same area and my car was similar to the one they were looking for. as i was getting out of the car another officer radioed that they had found their man.

1989 4 cops drew on me as i was coming back to my apartment at college. my id had been stolen a few days earlier from the computer lab, apparently the tech on duty had just given it to the guy cause he looked just like me. he then used my id to cash a bunch of stolen checks from the SAE fraternity. he apparently also trashed the local sonny's BBQ. I went in for dinner one night. Took me 20 minutes to convince the manager that i was not the guy that turned over the salad bar and beat up another customer the night before.

1989 We were at UF as Danny Rolling was killing five fellow students. I was managing an apartment complex and lived on site. After the third body was found things were a little tense to say the least. You could not find a shotgun or door lock anywhere in town. Our apartment had a flight of stairs in back that was a shared fire escape. I was changing the door lock on that stairwell one night. My neighbor (stoner steve) jumps out of his back door into the stairwell. Nickel plated smithy .357 pointed right at me.
ME: WTF,
Steve: DUDE I came to save you
Me: Don't do me any favors, put that cannon down before you shoot someone

Never had to draw mine on anyone,

I've had a couple of gangbangers flash theirs (guns, not the other thing...although I feel like that would have been more traumatic than the gun) at me walking downtown. But never had one pointed at me nor have I ever pointed one at anyone.

The whole gangbanger thing has happened more than once so I don't think it was just a random thing. I don't know what it is about me, but I've had multiple people throughout my life come up and tell me that I look like I'm ready to kill someone, when in actuality all I was doing was just walking. I don't feel like I mean mug anyone, but maybe I just have one of those faces.

Old man kept harassing me and made threats of bodily injury, (I was parked at the RTD park and ride waiting for my wife with my headlights on that were to bright for him). He left the scene and called PD. PD Showed up and I explained my side. PD left to have a chat with the other fellow.

Never pointed at anyone.
Thought I might have to at Wal Mart a couple weekends back though. Lady nearly ran over my toes as the family and I crossed into the entrance to the store. I yelled loudly at her, she went up a few isles turned around and came back for a 2nd shot at us. Screaming and yelling out of the window! Obviously we didn't give her another try. She proceeded to scream and yell as she went racing through the lot again...
