Yup,just got some out last week and from the looks of it their done.
Might be able to revive them back inside but I doubt it.
8" (of snow) and counting.
Glad I got the wife's flowers inside last night. They should be okay in there for the week.
this weather definitely sucks!

Same here in Ft collins, been coming down steady all day.
Snow sticking to grass in back yard, but not front yard...
We got some much needed rain in the Grand Valley this morning, hope we get more. I spent an hour in the rain spreading fertilizer. Frost is expected over the next two nights so we'll have to cover the tomatoes and peppers that are already planted.

Danger to fruit blossoms?
Not only is it snowing, but it glazed everything with rain first. My chokecherries and young apple trees are bending double under the weight!
Looks like I'll be knocking snow off them as it accumulates.
Glad I hadn't started my garden yet.

Probably not unless it dips below 29F. Forecast low is 30 degrees both Mon. and Tue. Depends a lot on micro location, slope of site and duration of low temps. Many orchardists could see some additional thinning which isn't necessarily bad.

Hoping for warm west wind then.
Little bit in Centennial/Aurora- we need the precipitation badly.
Need to knock the snow off the tress they are starting to bend pretty good.

Mamma just fired up the pellet stove. It had got to 31 but has risen to 32.5 and the grass is no longer white. just fine with me.

Good. Late spring snowfall and summer showers help keep the forest from burning down in July/August. Nothing worse than another 2011 or 2012 fire ban when you want to go camping.

Fixed it for you.

Thanks, us too. Are you a farmer, by chance?
It's raining heavily now; just what we need. But, the tumbleweeds will be back again with a vengeance. Russian thistle is coming up everywhere.
May have to turn the heat on today. Funny thing, three weeks ago I got the evaporative coolers going on a warm day when it hit 80 degrees. Haven't used them since.
The cool weather is a welcome break from what we usually have this time of year.

Snow? We've got around 8" standing and probably over a foot already fallen - and no sign of it slowing down at the moment. I'm thinking I might need to invest in a snowmobile or a tracked vehicle of some kind lol.

I run in to a lot of vehicles needing to be towed from all over North and South Dakota, to the dealerships in Fargo, ND because no one else can do whatever is needed. Paying $1,400 to tow a '12 Cayenne this week actually.
It is really cold inside my house, but I REFUSE to turn on the heat. To me, month of May is summer (officially Spring).

LOL. 2012 Cayenne is under warranty. But you do raise an interesting idea. Perhaps my mobile service was done wrong. For 1200 bucks I would be willing to drive to the vehicle and fix it there. Hmmmm...
Cayenne was at a body shop. It started a few times,.but now that they took the bumpers off, it won't start. None of the other places that work on luxury will touch it. I seem to remember that back in my AAA days I heard something along the lines of Porsche factory security being so complex that instead of sending a locksmith, they would just tow to a dealership.

That's funny. There is a reason one of the cars still has snow tires on and you looking at it outside.[LOL]Starting to stick again and it is coming hard right now.44655

Just shoveled about 10" of global warming off the deck. Over a foot (at least) has fallen but most melted for the first few hours. It looks like it's gettin' serious out there now. I am NOT plowing the damn driveway again.

I've got about 8-10" on the patio table, and 3-4" on the drive so far. Hot fire going, cold beer in hand, and a nice steak ready to cook for dinner. Doesn't get much better than this. Unless I get snowed in and can't make it to work tomorrow. Or just say Phuck it and call in anyway. [Coffee]

No farming since I was a kid. My family grew apples for a while in Eckert, around the other side of the Grand Mesa.

18" and still comming! THANK GOD! I would rather run the snow thrower now than evacuate from a fire later!
Work put out a 2 hour delay and option to take unscheduled leave. So I'm sitting around still in my PJ's working on my 2nd cup of coffee. [Coffee]
Today I have lots to do....replace a battery in a smoke detector...and that's about it!
......and the power just went out here in Saudi Aurora...[panic]
I may have to go to work...

For me that was yesterday-today is the doorbell battery (inside) ho hum. Damn couch looks so far away !!!
Staying home due to doctors orders, but I'm sure traffic is a nightmere despite no snow in the street. Few inches and still snowing at my place.

Dont strain yourself getting up and down from that couch. I know I plan on trying to limit that today by staying out. don't need to have and injury!

To leave this heat I would love to be watching snow fall.........
Two more days left.
It looks like I need to pull the plow out this morning. I don't know how much we have; probably 16-18". I burnt almost 8 cords of wood this year!
Well, we needed the moisture. Got to work early to plow snow before everyone else arrived. Was almost like plowing water. Actually was plowing water in a couple spots. Better sharpen the lawn mower blades today. Going to need them in a couple of days.

I hear that! I was all packed up and ready to evacuate at this time last year. This is a welcome change after watching fires burn by my house the last two years.

About half dug out.
No fire danger for at least two weeks.

Ended up having to drive to Boulder. I had Boulder Canyon all to myself. [WooHoo] But could only go 30-35mph. [Rant2] RTD, of course, didn't chain up and went off the road.

All this precipitation will grow lots of new fuel for later dry spells. You can't beat nature at its own game, but you can cheat it for a while.
Sent from my electronic leash.
I'm not a fan of the snow in mid-May but I understand the "we need it" argument. However, I did just aerate my yard last weekend and got revive sprayed on it right before this storm. The yard should be looking real healthy soon.
We got about 8", all of it wet concrete. I had to go out every four hours and flail at the chokecherry trees and aspens to prevent the branches from snapping off.
...and we still had our Honeycrisp apple tree snap in half. DAMMIT!!!!!
That tree was part of our Zombie Contingency Plan. No we have to get anther one....and no apples this year.
Yeah, it's better to have snow than fire, but still...
