Twenty year old woman in Michigan elects to have a preventative double mastectomy after her mom and aunt died to breast cancer, so the Wings get her favorite band Kaleido and favorite player for dinner in the Olympia Club and tour of the arena to help with her pre surgery morale.

I know most here hate the team, but it's another reason hockey clubs and players are among the classiest in pro sports. The sign in their dressing room is what the team and especially the Illitch family exemplifies and expects of their players.

Classy move.

Rivalries are not all about hate.

I'm a Red Sox fan and I like the Yankees because the rivalry is what makes it all interesting and worth following.
The Red Wings make it that much more enjoyable to watch the Avalanche. You have to admire the winning tradition. Victory is that much better when it is against the Red Wings.

Like I said, it's a classy act by the Red Wings and Howard.

I shall temporarily lift my hatred of the club in order to say something nice about them.

That was a very nice thing for Howard and the club to do. Very classy, good for them.

Now I have restore balance to the universe:
