Why? Because Romney endorsed him? Sorry, but that's a lame reason not to vote for someone. What if Romney endorsed the person you like? Would you not vote for that person simply because Romney endorsed him/her?

There are plenty of legitimate reasons to vote or not vote for Beauprez without fabricating reasons.

What Bailey said! Hey, I voted for Romney in the 2012 election... I may have held my nose, but it was "anyone but Obama." I don't regret voting for him, and if he endorses someone, great. I'll vote more on merit than on who endorses them.

Beaprez shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. He was an elected official for a time. Lost to Ritter in th gov race. Has been a substitute on the radio talk shows for years expressing his opinions on various topics, gives speeches to various groups at the drop of a hat.

While I don't not like Tancredo, I just don't see him winning the overall election with his baggage. Gessler either. Kopp doesn't have the name recognition, but seems to be an okay person. Beauprez is the only one who has name recognition and doesn't have a lot of baggage he is dragging.

Who will win the primary? No clue.

Beauprez? Everyone knows who he is.. I have a feeling that the runner has long ago been selected behind closed doors and this is nothing but show.

What is this fabrication are you referring to? Obviously not what I posted, right?

You didn't post anything except a link stating Beauprez had been endorsed by Romney. And your thread title indicates that's a reason not to vote for Beauprez. I questioned your premise and you didn't provide an answer.

He's not without some baggage, but I think the average LIV, even within the GOP, aren't going to know Bob's backstory much until the dems start slinging mud. Then we've entered the phase where many discount the negativity to begin with.

No doubt I'm in the minority, but I kinda like Bob and have personally done business with him (as a vendor) when he was a banker many years ago. Nice enough guy in person.

Forgive me. I assumed you had knowledge of Romney's background as most of us learned about in the last Presidential election cycle.

RomneyCare in MA was the template for ObamaCare. http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/287615/romneycare-and-obamacare-rick-santorum

Romney signed MA's assault weapons ban. http://www.businessinsider.com/romney-bans-assault-weapons-2012-7

I could go on but at this point YOU need to do some homework.

I look forward to your rebuttal, AFTER you've done your studies, and not before.

You got my Irish up...

See. That wasn't so hard, was it. You actually gave a few reasons why you feel Beauprez doesn't deserve a vote besides "Romney endorsed him". I don't agree with those reasons but at least they're something better than "Romney endorsed him".

And BTW...I don't give a rat's ass about your "Irish".

Bailey, what did I tell you? You didn't do your homework, again. Quit ranting and go in the corner.

I think your failing to understand Beauprez is a GOP run candidate and the GOP is going to endorse him. I doubt Romney could tell the difference between anyone that is running in our state election.

Who cares. I'll vote for anybody that will reverse the gun laws. That is the hot topic around here. If any of them support reversing those and make it a big issue, I'm fine with them.

This morning during the news I noticed a TV commercial by the Beauprez campaign. It has begun.

Not the ideal choice but I'll certainly vote for Beauprez over that feckless phony now occupying the governors office.

There ya go! I am a one issue voter for the most part and that issue is guns. If a candidate is for any kind of gun control they will not get my vote. If a candidate is for freedom and leaving my guns alone, I don't really care how the candidate stands on abortion and other social issues. Leave my guns alone and strengthen the laws that will protect my guns, you have my vote.

Lol WTF dude? Who are you, where did you come from, and where did you go to school? Reading comprehension is a tough thing, but good Lord, man, get it together!

Also, you telling Bailey to go sit in the corner made me actually laugh out loud. He had one heck of a "rant"! [LOL]

Similar to what Rabid stated, I also doubt Romney even knows (or cares) who the other primary candidates are. It's the establishment GOP.

ETA: why can't people have reasonable and logical discussions on the internet any more? BG asked a few simple (and very legitimate) questions and got told to sit in the corner by the guy with an inflamed Irish?

An inflamed Irish? Do you see a doctor or a bartender for that?

Quit giving the Irish a bad name IMO. I'm supporting Kopp over Beauprez but not because of guilt=by-association. Do you have any direct evidence that Beauprez supports or supported Romney's Romneycare or gun control measures? Bear in mind Romney ran them as stuff that the idiots in Taxachussetts wanted from their state government, not as federal measures. Here's a clue: any non-Democrat getting elected to public office in Taxachussetts is not going to sound like Kemp or either of the Pauls or Palin. There aren't enough of us to win by ourselves -- especially if we're going to tear each other apart -- so we need a ticket to strip away as much of the middle (and preferably some of the remaining few Democrats who aren't complete Marxist morons) as we can get. I just prefer the relatively liberal person on the ticket be #2 rather than #1 (ala Reagan-Bush rather than McCain-Palin).

I try try to find a practicing bartender. Kill two birds with one stone. Then if he spills some Irish whiskey on his fingers, you know it is sterile and you might get a buzz from it too.
