You sick bastard!
Isn't it sickening the preferential treatment this sick, demented, drug addict has received?
Refused 35 UA's, tested positive for meth numerous times, alcohol numerous times while on probation and yet he still walks our streets.
How many folks you know that were on probation/ diversion program that could pull off the same crap and keep their relative freedom?
May he die sucking on an AIDS infested dick.......oh, wait...

Rotten SOB

Bet he has all sorts of information on a lot of people and one of the reasons he hasn't been incarcerated. I have also heard that it is expensive to lock up a person with AIDS (doubt that is the reason).

Anyways, the justice system is blind with this one, any one else who violated probation this many times would have been locked up in seconds- what a fail.

Can someone provide a link for context? The only Mr. Sullivan I know was my HS guidance counselor.

He is not receiving preferential treatment and this goes on everyday now in the probation. This is an opportunity for the public to see the workings of our current criminal justice system and a small part of inefficiencies of the system.

The criminal justice system is without a doubt FUBAR, but claiming Sullivan is not getting preferential treatment sure seems to contradict reality.

Now to address the quote. Pure Bovine Excrement!
I have a family member who is on a Diversion program for much lesser charges. One failed whizz quiz, one violation of conditions of the program and her next court appearance is a sentencing hearing.

Former sheriff Sullivan is not only a drug abuser but he is a SEXUAL PREDATOR. The extent of my knowledge is that the city, county, and state governments refuse to acknowledge this so this monster walks free among us.

Treating any chronic patient kills the budget. In this day and age of contracted everything. I bet it's a bigger reason than you'd hope.

Former Arapahoe County Sheriff.

Sheriff of the Year in 2001! Upstanding, law abiding citizen.
Roberth statement of sexual predator is spot on, he was well known to hook up with underage boys, he has ties to Matthew Shepard, probable ties to 2 homicides of gay meth addicts and who knows what else.
He's also one who felt the 2A only applied to MIL and LE.

Some animals are more equal than others.

This... We have issues with the CJ system, but what's happening with Sullivan is without a doubt not common at all. Refusing to submit to a UA as grounds of your probation? Do not pass go, do not collect $200, go directly to jail. Fail a UA, we'll usually give you a second chance. Screw up again? Stern talking to and maybe a third chance. Again? Jail. That's usually how it works from my experience and knowing several ADAs.

agreed BP. This is a disgusting example of how the elites are literally living in a different country from the rest of us mere subjects.

Very common in the probation departments. There are similar walking the streets, trust me. Violent ones too. Most of the probation officers hands are tied, the courts keep sending them back to probation. No room in jail.

ZERO THEORY

Hypothetical situation: Johnny Patriot comes home from his four tour stint in the service. His experiences weight him down to the point that he turns to drugs and booze to numb the pain. He gets busted for buying drugs (without any sexual scandal) and put on probation. He refuses a UA. What happens to him?

Don't answer that, because typing it out will only make you angrier.

I'm pretty sure he's still in the States, bro.

Odd you should say that he's failed and still on the streets..

Lady I work with.. her shit head kid.. on parole.. 15yo.. constantly fails his UA's and they won't lock him up. It's the system.

Cremains take up very little room, are not prone to escape, and cheap to maintain...

I heard a PI on Rosen's show this afternoon who wasn't shy about accusing Sullivan of murdering at least 3 people. Said he's been trying (along with some other folks) for a while to get enough evidence to take him to trial but has so far been unsuccessful.

It's been my experience that people on probation can game the system a little bit. But certainly not to the extent Sullivan has. It wouldn't surprise me if his medical issues (and thus the financial issues) have something to do with it. Not saying that makes it right.

Anybody ever see the movie "American Me?"
Remember the scene where they are in prison and they are throwing the "party" with the son of the Mafioso?

That hasn't been my experience. Usually, people get "revoked and reinstated," a fancy way of saying "Stop committing crimes, or we'll tell you to stop again."
