Wow. Thanks so much for the link! That seriously is going to be the most useful and used program ever made, I think. It is simply amazing. Utterly smokes Google and actually provides useful info and what you want, easy parameters, etc. Wow.

Yea, it involves math, so I'm out.
It involves much more than just math. You have to watch more of it. It involves everything!
well 10 minutes of waiting and still no site...
Oh, the site itself isn't actually active yet. This is just a 13 minute demonstrative video of the kinds of things you'll be able to do once it is up and running for the public (sometime this month).

based on what I saw, high-speed internet required... if you're on dialup, it'll timeout before you even get enough data downloaded

Honestly I don't see much special about it.
This thing is only in it's infancy and the implications of where it could go are astounding.
What makes it so unique is that it actually computes the answers-not just give you results.
So think of it like a huge thinking online encyclopedia. The amount of knowledge one could gain in an incredibly short time is amazing. Educational time will be stripped away. Answers at your finger tips. Or, like my wife said, it's like the computer on star trek. And that's just the simple stuff that I can understand, lol.
It will also have the ability to predict the future in a way, too, based on computations of cyclic repetition of the past.
So a dolt like myself with be able to finally do trig and plot some planets, lol.
It will even out the field between not-so-smart people and the more intelligent among us.
This is a program/website that every person in the world who has internet can and probably will use every day. That's the big deal, at least to me. 'Cuz I really don't understand most of the technical shit.
In short, just like star trek, you can ask it any fact-based question, pretty much any way you want to, and it will give you the answer. A genie. A crystal ball. What the techies call it goes on and on. It's really unique.
I've tried to find out more about the stock, but can't seem to. One result said $250 a share, but then when you click on the link, it say nothing about the stock.

I guess I'll actually have to see the live site in action ~ doing something with data that might apply to/interest me.
That is pretty amazing! That could really revolutionize the way market research is performed.
Semantic webs are really going to revolutionize the way we analyze and piece together data.
Speaking of, has anyone played with the new Google Wonder Wheel? IE: http://www.google.com/search?q=ar-15&hl=en&sa=N&output=search&tbs=ww:1&tbo=1

What? Don't be thinking of my bacon!
On a serious note I think this sounds neat ,but as Foxtrot said it could spell doom for higher education in a sense.
