If this is a repost, I did look. Pretty impressive video of Tannerite. The comments are also interesting. I have not used the stuff myself but I am guessing that storing that much in a barn might not work out the way you meant it to.

Great, just one more reason to push more restrictions on the stuff...

That was intensional, you have to mix the two parts of tanneite before it becomes explosive. Only a Tard would store any amount of it mixed.

Does tannerite, in addition to requiring being shot, also require a video camera or will it go off without a camera being used?

unfortunately it must be video taped at all times.... for safety reasons. Also you must say "hey, what you thinks is gon ta happens?" before you shoot it. Its tricky stuff.

That's exactly what I was going to post. I just envisioned how much nice barn wood he wasted. Probably could've sold it for a small fortune instead of turning it into toothpicks.

Damn straight. We have a number of barn wood picture frames in the house and there's nothing else like them.

On a positive note; it shows very well that it does not start fires. And Yes, this was done on purpose. This is self demolition of a barn with legal materials. They could have made money just selling the wood though.

They used tannerite to blow up a car on an episode of Moonshiners. It was a pretty hefty bag they used, but it destroyed the vehicle and spread fragments a good distance.

Yeah I am sure selling it would have made him quite a bit of money. The flip side is how much does 164 lbs of tannerite cost? I just looked online to see if maybe the price had gone down, and it looks like the cheapest you could get that much is around $1230. I guess that explains why they do not give a crap about selling the barn wood.
You can get the knockoff brands at around $170 shipped for 50lb.

A road flare is even cheaper.

There is (or was) a video online of some guys harvesting some wild pigs with tannerite. Stuff is definitely not a toy.

Only a matter of time until some genius fills a backpack full of it and takes it into a crowd somewhere. Then it WILL be outlawed.

I think there's enough easy home made explosives rather than one that is a bit more difficult to set off. Then again I suppose you would still have some mentally ill theatre shooting type that finds it easier than googling recipies.

My mom just put repurposed wood from a barn in her kitchen and dining room. It's beautiful. And it cost a fortune.

Did I read that it's illegal to mix more than 5lbs of that stuff at a time without appropriate licenses and notifications? The mask is neat but a YouTube account isn't exactly anonymous.

As far as I'm aware, the limit is 50lbs

Stupid asses. Not only destroyed thousands of dollars worth of highly marketable aged barn wood, but now they have weeks of cleaning up to do, a shred at a time. How fucking stupid can they be?

The Belgians just found an apartment with 50 pounds of TATP explosive.
