It's a shame people don't put as much effort into Memorial Day as they do Christmas or New Year's Day.
[Salute][Troops] Big thank you to all who paid the ultimate price for freedom.
God bless them and their families.
All gave some, some gave all.
Watching Band of Brothers.

Not as easy to commercialize.

Ft. Logan had a good service as always, a couple of hitches I noticed but nothing major. It was good to see a couple of old friends. Could have lived without Hickenloper and Udal but I guess you can't get away from the politicians.
My utmost respect and appreciation to those who made the supreme sacrifice and to their families
Thank you to all who have served.
To all those past and present, Thank you.
Every year since I could remember my dad and grandfather mostly teaching me, that we always paid our respects first and then gathered as a family for memorial day.
Today I was very surprised and relieved to know there are many that understand, even brought a tear to my eye to see[B] Ft Logan so crowded this afternoon, so many people there to pay respects that it took me a good 20 minutes to get to my fathers grave which only takes me minutes from the entrance typically.
My oldest who remembers my father better as the youngest was only 2 at the time, balled his eyes out; "Missing Papa!" all the way home.
The best moment of the day is when both my boys gave "Grandpa a Hug" (what they called it) after planting their own little flags. Wife and I both had tears in our eyes;

"Those that say we're in a time that there are no heroes, they just don't know where to look... the sloping hills of Arlington National Cemetery with its row on row of simple white markers bearing crosses or Stars of David. They add up to only a tiny fraction of the price that has been paid for our freedom." -Ronald Reagan
I can't put it any better than that. [Salute]
Today I personally reflect and remember SGT Rodrigo Munguia Rivas, 3IBCT, 10th MTN DIV- 6/21/2009 Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan.

I'm a little late for the party but I would like to thank all my brothers and sisters from all services, past, present and future, for all the sacrifices they have made. As stated previously, all gave some...some gave all!! I will also like to thank everyone that support us, for without you we would not be able to do what we do. [Salute]THANK YOU!!!
