Seems my rubber irrigation boots fill up faster with sweat than they would if I just let water pour into them. What are your best summer socks for rubber boots?

None. Put a good insole in them and wear them.

Wool... May seem counterintuitive but I wear wool exclusively and have no problems with them even 12 hour shifts in waterproof work boots.

I buy the merino hikers from rei

Good socks are just important as good shoes/boots. I like the SmartWool brand.

Good being?

Flip flops.

Need the protection that tall rubber boots provide.

I was thinking that - are those summer-specific?

Same question as I had for Mr Brews.

Thanks again, guys! [Beer]

wilderness exchange always has a big selection of seconds for 5 bucks. Like right now I am wearing a pair that say rei but can't be sold as such.

Smart Wool got sold to Timberline and the quality went way south. I will not waste money on them and used to be a big fan.

I bike in the desert and wool socks keep my feet dryer than anything else.

Fox River and Wigwam are easy to find and good quality. Darn tough is another good one. Merino wool is all the rage and I have to agree that it is soft to the touch.
