View Full Version : Question for north metro apartment dwellers
So, my step son and his fiancé are looking for an apartment in the Thornton, Broomfield, or Westminster area. For those of you who live in an apartment in one of those areas I'd love to know how much you pay for rent and what you think of the place.
If that information is too private, feel free to not respond at all or shoot me a PM and I apologize if I offended you for asking.
Thanks.

We were paying $895 for a three bedroom, two bath in Westminster right before the re ntal market exploded. After we moved I think he went up to $1095 and had no problem getting it.
I rented up this way until 4 years ago... My younger sisters both still rent.
Rent is terrible these days. To many people still having to rent after foreclosure. Rent is easily what a mortgage runs for even a bit bigger place. For 1200sqft 2 bed 2 bath in a nice modern apartment you can easily spend over 1300 for a nice place.

A year ago I was paying 980 a month at The Regatta in Northglenn. Large 1 bedroom. Decent place but not great.

Was paying right at $1000 for a one bedroom on 120th near Colorado. Once our son came we had to move down the street a bit to afford a two bedroom. We are now paying $1190 for a two bedroom. Plan to get into our own home before this lease is up, I'm over apartments.
Sheesh. I had no idea apartments were that expensive these days. The last time I rented one it was $350 a month.

Oh, I could find you an apt for $350, but it won't be a place you wanna live, haha.

I bet. Lol.
I do have a coworker in Brighton that pays $750 for a large one bedroom. Maybe I'll suggest they check that place out.
I know someone who was paying $1300 a month for a 1 bedroom in broomfield.
I know...seemed way high to me too.

Broomfield is just crazy expensive in general. All those new apartments over by Flatirons Mall are all pretty expensive. But they're all new and really nice.

$11-1500 per is the norm in the metro area. Anything in the $1100 range usually last a day, if that.

In light of what I had to pay for a tiny studio apartment 25 years ago, the prices quoted thus far in this thread actually seem pretty reasonable.
