I received my first stamp for a suppressor in April and yesterday I filled out the paper work for a Colt 6933. I always wanted a Colt and a sbr, so having it all in one is well…. Awesome. I have to give a lot of credit to Zach at Trigger Time. I was searching for a Colt 6933 and was being told it was impossible to find one. Then I spoke to Zach. Zach said he would make some calls and he then tracked one down and gave me a great price on it. I can’t wait for this stamp to come back. I hope it doesn't take 11 months like the last one did. All the same, I think I may need a .223 suppressor next.[AR15]

having the AR platform , with a happy switch is a great jump off point for 9mm, 22 300 blk and other fun stuff.

No happy switch, just a semi-auto sbr.

Congrats, welcome to the club! I'm sorry for your friends, family, and children, as now that you have one, you will probably not stop collecting them. :)

Wait times right now have been around 7 months paper and 5 month e-form. I anticipate the new norm will be 6 months for either.

Haven't looked at NFA tracker the last few weeks since my Form1 came back and I don't have any more outstanding. [panic]

So far the wife has not said a word... yet...

My spousal unit considers tax stamps a household expense.

Hopefully by the end of June I shall be sending another form too...

Lol, first time I hear " spousal unit" made my day.

But so far, the spouse is happy with the new build, not so happy with the stamps and the wait time.

How long should it take to have my check cashed? I filled out paper work on 05-29-2014 and still have not had the checked cashed. Should I worry?

Check cashed is 30 days average. However, that means nothing, time frame wise. You don't start counting till your paperwork goes pending.

It may never show as cashed - ATF converts them to ACH transactions, so check your bank account for one of those. I had a customer email me last week worried that his check hadn't been deposited after six months, then went back and saw it had been done as an ACH five months back.

It does mean they got your Form paperwork though. I have always sent mine in normal mail. I've never used any special mailing that proved they received it. I knew they had it if the money cleared my account. Mine have always cleared in 2 or 3 weeks so I've never had to worry about whether they received it.

I hear this a lot and it does not make sense to me. You want to have the NFA item but don't want to wait so you put off filling out and signing a simple form, which everyday you put it off makes the wait one day longer??? How many years that been working for ya??[facepalm]

The check cleared 06-30-2014. So now I'm just waiting, which really is the hardest part. Maybe I need to get a suppressor in .223?

I picked up my stamp and Colt 6933 on 12-02-2014. Today I'm heading out to range to put it through its paces.

Yeah I have a .223 suppressor and a .22 suppressor in ATF waiting. Hopefully they well be out soon. The waiting part of this game is a killer.
On the plus side the Colt rocked it today. I have an Aim Point PRO on it and kept it all within an inch at 50 yards and it did about the same at a 100 yards.
