Does anybody near thornton own a knockout die set I could borrow for a couple holes. I'm install a new run for my air compressor and the box doesn't have big enough hole. Yes I know to use one and no I won't damage it. Thanks Chris

What size? I don't have a KO set but a pretty good assortment of hole saws.

I will double check but I think 1 1/4. Let seem if a hole saw will work as thinking I may have to use an existing hole.

If it is not to far I live near 26th and wadsworth. Will be down around colfax and colorado tomorrow on a jobsite.

What size of wiring are you running ? 11/4" is a pretty big hole, that would fit a 1" conduit fitting. Most existing box knock outs will be for 1/2" and 3/4 " conduit. You will need a knock out set to expand them to 1 1/4".

I'm running 6-2 I haven't measured the cable connector size but the ko in box is too small .

Is this for a home, or business ?
I assume you are not connecting this to a CB Panel box, but rather to a branch circuit J box. Is the feed to the J box rated for the welder load you are hooking to it ?
You may need an electrician to make sure you are to code.

Yes it is rated for the load and yes I hooking to subpanel not a j box. Also it is compressor not a welder. It is for home. No electrician needed I have the NEC in front of me and have a fair amount of experience with electricity.
