I'm moving there soon and wonder if anyone has first hand knowledge/past experiences from this area. Ashland city to Pleasant view and in-between area Sycamore. My wife took a job teaching there and I'll be doing gunsmithing. Land is cheap and its pretty to me. This is why I'm moving.

Of course when anyone is near you can allways stop in. I'll keep in touch from time to time on this site. I'm not moving till AUG though. Still have to deal with my post till then.

You gotta be OK with really hot humid summers to live there happily. It's about 4 months of total misery every year compared to Colorado. But I'm one of those people that considers Colorado summers a little hot for my taste unless you live up in the mountains.

And the bugs out there.....let us not forget about all of the bugs that the high humidity help breed.

Love the bugs! I always wanted one of those bug zapper things that glow blue and fry those things when they come close. I think the sound of big bugs getting fried sounds cool. DEATH to the pesky bastards. Yeah I might be weird a bit.

If you like NFA you shouldn't have any problems getting a Form 4/Form 1 signed off. TN is the only state I know of that requires CLEOs to sign absent a finding that you're a disqualified person.
They still have some goofy CCW restrictions but there are bills this year to fix many of the more egregious problems (like publishing permit holder's names).
