When a black bear showed up in a residential area in Alligator Point, Florida, wildlife officers knew they had to trap it and move it away from the neighborhood. After they hit the bear with a tranquilizer dart, though, things started to go horribly wrong. Thankfully, biologist/badass Adam Warwick was on the scene, ready to make his mark as the bravest guy ever to swim in the Gulf of Mexico.

He walked out 25 yards into the gulf and dragged out a semi-conscious drugged up bear.
Sorry - pretty cool, but does not rise to the level of badass.

Now, if the bear was fully conscious and perhaps had a leg trapped in a fisherman's net. That would have been badass.

Dude, he swam out into the gulf and grabbed a scared and angry 400lb bear by the scruff of its neck and drug it back to shore. Clearly, you and I have had very different experiences in life if you don't think that was badass. Maybe I'm just not operator enough. [Dunno]

No, he walked out into the gulf and grabbed a damn near unconscious 400lb bear by the scruff of its neck and drug it back to shore.

He's as badass as these guys.

LOL Not a fair comparison at all. I guess we'll just have to disagree.

I rescued a hummingbird trapped in our foyer once. With my bare hands. And it wasn't even unconscious.

I guess rescuing a bear from the ocean's pretty cool, too.

I ran away screaming from a honeybee last week. I think this dude is slightly more badass than I am.

Chuck Norris would have given the bear CPR while in the water !!!

This guy might not be the toughest dude on the planet, but he certainly earns the Badass McTuffNutz award for the month.

He was the baddest one there since no one else jumped in to save the bear.

My wife was "EEking!" at a spider the other day, Ture story! While the sounds of terror were going on in the background, I grabbed my Bugstik with my BARE hands, picked up the spider, and let it go outside.
