I belive this was in response to so many people spamming craigslist with ads under many different email accounts. Most people don't have as many phone numbers.

It has been this way for commercial accounts for about 2 months.

In the dealer/commercial sections it is in all areas...
private sales in colo spgs will soon be the same for private party like in Denver and require a phone #

Anybody notice the postings change from 90 down to 30 days?
In San Francisco it is now 7 days.....

I posted a commercial ad in there about two months ago and I think I had to give a number. It was no big deal and I haven't gotten any sales calls that I know of. I gave them our commercial number though, so we already get sales calls on that.

Oh and by the way, I didn't get one legitimate call or email from the ad, it was ALL junk.

I/we have about 50 ads on craigs list all the time...

We recieve about 20 legitimate calls a day
More than half of the emails don't pan out though
