View Full Version : New member from Lincoln, NE

Hi, all! I'm a new member from Lincoln, NE. I joined because I'm a novice rifle shooter at 54 yrs old (!), and I need all the help I can get. I'm a concealed handgun permit holder (in Nebraska, they change "weapon" to "handgun") and I have built a few AR's of different flavors.
I shoot an M1A when I can as well. Not too many places to shoot on this end of the state so I usually end up traveling a piece.
Anyway...I'm sure I'll be asking for advice at some point. I'm looking forward to it.

Sorry, I couldnt help myself. I know we've got a great site and all, but what draws a fella (it is fella isn't it?) all of the way from Lincoln?

Howdy, and welcome! First, I have to know, is P.O. Pears still open? If so, do they still serve the "Thunder Humper"? I'd almost kill to get another one of those! Sorry, I can't help myself sometimes. You are going to find a lot of good help here, these guys know thier stuff, and are really friendly too.

Sorry, blackford76...PO Pears has been a couple of others things in the last couple years. It's called Red 9 now....mainly a bar for the college crowd. The food's basically the same, I hear.
