Looks like I also need to win the lottery... No chance in hell I'd afford either Google Glass, or that fancy set up to fit on my rifle... at least not for about 15-20 years. [Abused]
No idea what's on the rifle or how he pulls it off, but that's a game changer. The guys in the sandbox may really appreciate it.

Actual video if anyone is interested:

I am sure the "military" version would have to be encrypted, but that is possible right now, and for a lot less than one might think with wireless camera interfaces. I played with one at SHOT for about 20 minutes. Pretty cool.
They also had a rig set up with a mounted iphone. Shooter puts the crosshairs on target, the iphone is sending the image to the commander, which the shooter sees with his left eye in a red haze. The commander's phone had three buttons on the side of his image; "standby" (goes to yellow haze), "engage" (goes solid green, then off) and "disengage" (goes solid red). I tired it without the "cone", but they had a cone that allowed the shooter to see the screen, but cut out all the light so it could not bee seen from the surrounding area.

"Timeout!! Timeout!! I need to re-boot!!"

Same thing that happens when the batteries on a red dot or any of a number of battery powered sighting systems dies ... you switch to irons until you can replace the battery.
The system is about $10K, they're based out of Austin, Texas. They have a couple video's on their web http://tracking-point.com/ that show how the technology works.
Not really different than part of the Land Warrior battle system the Army was developing back in 2000. Just a bit smaller these days.

It's nice to see someone using Google Glass for more than a fashion/status accessory. First time I've seen practical use of the technology.

Like I said... when I win the lottery. There are about 10 guns I'd like to get before this. Besides .mil and LE, who would actually use this for it's intended purpose? Neat idea, but there's a reason the Army cancelled the Land Warrior Program.

"How do we use iron sights again? Wait we didn't get ISSUED iron sights!"
Looks like he didn't get any either in the clip.
It wouldn't be a really positive product demo (commercial) if the product failed in the middle of the video.
So, if bad guy gets a hold of my weapon I can see when I'm about to get shot? Hacking into other peoples GCs could be interesting.

When Google Glass did their first invite-only release, a buddy of mine got one and after trying them out, my first impression was holy crap these are cool....
The more I've thought about it though, the less comfortable I am with this in general, the following article being a perfect example of why...

Corner shooting has been around for a while, heres one example that won't cost you a arm and leg http://www.xcalibertactical.com/products/mirrorsight/index.html

They restarted it a few months later, it's called the Future Force Warrior now.

Yeah, but that one's not all high tech and sexy.

The Tracking Point guys sometimes show up to the range I go to here in Texas. The engineers are cool, but the one 'head honcho' that showed up is just full of tom foolery, saying that he's developing the tracking point for the .308 Remington round. We tried to clarify: "Don't you mean .308 winchester?" He said nope, it's the remingotn and its the saami spec and everything. (we chuckled)
It was just an awkward experience all around.
The little asian lady he had with him wasn't bad looking.... until he got her to shoot a 300 WM, no brake, from a bad position. she got knocked around a bit, and I believe the ranges guys told them that enough was enough.

No, this is why we all need a beard. It's always a bearded guy doing cool things like that.

Wasn't that part of his operator workout video? Beards make you lift more I think.
