Some bad guys have robbed people coming out of shooting ranges in Philly. I'm guessing the ranges don't allow any loaded fire arms outside the shooting lanes.

I never leave the range/building unarmed or unloaded. All mags are topped back off and weapons ready.

Same here... I seem to remember Firing Line has a sign up saying no loaded weapons. Or do they make an exception allowing CC?

Concealed is concealed
I've always wondered why more criminals don't acquire guns and ammo this way. Many of the people that I see leaving the gun club have both hands full (myself usually included) - that seems low risk / high reward for robbers.

Whenever I go to an urban indoor range, such as the Silver Bullet, I keep one defense weapon concealed on my person that is NOT removed from its holster or fired. I figure I can practice with it next time, when another gun is "on duty".

^this....but I make no distinction between urban indoor ranges and outdoor....whether its bluecore, CRC, or pawnee grasslands, the SOP is the same.....

I just unholster my CC weapon at the firing line, eject the mag and unload the chambered defense round, then load my spare mags up with practice ammo, and then when i'm done I reload the defensive ammo, then reholster/reconceal.
I think the problem is people that might not have their CCW.
