View Full Version : FFL in NoCo?

Anyone have an FFL in NoCo that doesn't charge an arm and a leg to do multiple transfers at once? I want to buy three stripped lowers and have been quoted $25 for the transfer + $10 BGC + $15 for each additional lower. That just seems ridiculous to me. I've heard of some doing $5 for additional items or some just tossing them all on one for the regular fee. Any suggestions?

Did you pay $30 for all of them? Their website says $10 per stripped lower so if thats the case that is a deal!

Foundation Pawn in Loveland. My guy in Windsor has been unresponsive (he takes random trips to Germany) so I was checking out others.

Steve's Gun Shop. He does it out of his house. I can PM you his info if you would like. Steve just got back to me and multiple transfers cost $50 including BGC. He will be out of town when I order them though.

Beat me to it but I've used him several times. Great price for multiple simultaneous transfers but will NOT do private part transfers so don't even ask. He absolutely refuses and nothing I could say could convince him otherwise.

I've used this guy too. I dig him but it's a farther drive for me and his prices are a tad bit higher. My buddy uses him a lot because he works in Fort Collins and will meet him there around his work schedule.

I sent him an email and left him a voicemail, still haven't heard back. Is it $10 lower + $10 for BGC?

I have used Steve for a few years now and yes his prices are higher. It can be convenient for me as I can swing by on my way home from work and hassle Jim. Gilcrest farm and supply said $15 for transfer + $10 BGC and $5 for each additional lower. If I don't hear back from Lewis I will just got with Gilcrest farm and supply.

Just heard back from Lewis at Indy Arms. He said the fee is $35 for 5 items including BGC. Not a bad deal.

we always use Gilcrest Farm supply. I dont know if you can get a cheaper or easier FFL transfer.

I decided to use Gilcrest Farm and Supply. Everytime I have called they answered the phone and the lady has been super friendly. Within in hour of submitting the order she had already sent in their FFL paperwork. Seems like I may have found a new FFL dealer.

While I haven't personally dealt with Gilcrest Farm I have heard good things. FYI, Lewis has been quick to fax FFL info whenever necessary in all the transactions in which I've used him. He's usually pretty quick to get back to me but I also know he keeps early hours as he goes to work sometime in the afternoon last time I used him. I think his cut-off was 2:00pm so if you emailed him after this time perhaps this was the reason for a slower response. Personally, I've had great response in my communications with him though and I don't seem to recall him not replying in the afternoon or night either.

Picked up my lowers Monday from John at Gilcrest Farm & Supply. He called me as soon as they showed up and the transaction was painless. He also took my CC (most private FFL's only take cash) and was very friendly. Will be using him in the future.

You might check out Alpha2 Firearms in Ft. Collins. On this forum as Alpha2, I hope I haven't done something wrong as per rules here. If so, chastise me severely and take away my cookies. And my bacon. Okay, maybe not the bacon.
The Colorado law now states we can't charge more than 10 bucks for our services for a BGC. And of course the 10 bucks for the state charge, but as you know, there can be more than one item per check. So, technically, we can charge you 10 bucks for the check, and 10 bucks for our services. That's 20 bucks for a BCG for numerous items. If you want to make a charitable donation for my ammunition fund, that's your prerogative.

BTW, this 10 bucks for a BCG for our services was a major reason for the lawsuit against the State.
