Turns out, the possibility exists of an RO helping his friends with their times at some pretty big matches.

I think the answer to this is to not allow any recording devices anywhere on the range. ROs are the authority at a match and we must always respect our betters unquestionably, lest we be branded as malcontents or domestic terrorists. Even possessing a recording device shows your contempt for authority and a beligerant attitude.
Just kidding, although I wish I was just kidding about the attitude towards recording devices by some in power.
I truly hope this isn't as it appears to be on its face, but if it turns out to be true, I also hope his career as an LEO (if I read the story correctly) is over, but I doubt the blue stone wall will go that far. People, in my experience, who lie and cheat in one area find it easy to do so in other areas, and when it comes to LEOs, dishonest behavior doesn't cut it. Since anLEO's word is given more weight in court, they MUST be above reproach. This story shows this guy is anything but above reproach.

Doodie project had a few pretty detailed posts about this.
I have no dog in this show but the articles called out, clearly state he is retired so I don't think he will get fired soon..... but it does bring into question ALL of the arrests he ever made. That is not to say they are all bad, but is does bring them into question. This could get REAL interesting real quick.
The evidence sure does appear to be damning of the accused, who is reportedly retired LE. He resigned his membership yesterday. Does have a lot of people whipped into a tizzy on both sides. The AD who did the investigation completed it and turned it over to the BOD as well.

Okay, if he's retired I guess his pension is safe. Thanks for the correction.
