A friend gave this to me. He thought it was a AR mag. It doesn't fit my AR. Any ideals on what it might fit?

Based on feed lip and rear profile, Ruger Mini 14 or 30. Possibly one of those universal fit types. I have one from eagle industries, that works in a Mini-14, AR-15 AND sterling AR-180. Clever aftermarket brains.

Looks like Mini 14 or 30, 20 round. I hope he gave it to you before July.

No question...Mini-14. I don't think that's the proper follower for a Mini-30.

Its for a mini-14, the mini-30 mags have more of a bend in them. Its nice he gave that to you before the arbitrary mag ban became law.

Thanks for the reply guys! So the reason he thought they where AR 15 was because they don't fit his mini 14?

He may have been trying to slap it in like an AR mag, instead of rocking it in like an AK mag.

I wouldn't, since you can't transfer a mag that size between persons now ;)
