I am sooo tired of EO.... Serious question... Has there ever been really good EOs? To me it should be abolished...
...To me it should be abolished...
It already in my mind is illegal. He is the Executive Branch, The Legislative Branch makes the laws.
We are not in a state of emergency, and even if we were Immigration reform will not fix that emergency.

And by law, EOs cannot create new legislation, they can only alter existing legislation.

I don't think this is quite accurate either. I'm pretty sure only Congress can change legislation. EOs are supposed to be direction sent down to departments within the Executive Branch and that's all.

Agree. EOs can't change or create new laws (although he clearly believes he can), they can only direct the interpretation, or provide guidance, to departments on how to implement the laws. He can even write an EO that says some laws will no longer be enforced, although the law may remain valid. EO's are policies not laws, but the average person has a hard time understanding the difference. And so does the average federal LEO, because policies are sometimes wrongly interpreted as law by senior department leaders.
The Executive has the responsibility to enforce the law. This doesn't mean 'selective enforcement' of portions of a law or only laws of the land that he agrees with. This doesn't mean that he can change the law by fiat.
The Legislative branch needs to grow a pair and clip his wings. Otherwise, an uprising of the people (http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-immigrants-murrieta-20140701-story.html#page=1) may be the only way forward.
US Constitution
Article. II. - The Executive Branch
Section 3 - State of the Union, Convening Congress
He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union,
and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and
expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them,
and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment,
he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors
and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and
shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.
That's it.
