A gathering of likeminded Colorado shooting enthusiasts and something you just don't want to miss. Beginner friendly and spectators encouraged.

A fun skill building & networking event with an informal competitive spirit and just a great excuse to gather with friends and shoot something other than just paper static targets.

......

We are bringing Northeastern Colorado together thru this monthly 3+ Gun Event.
Good Safe Fun is Mandatory!

Shoot only one stage or come shoot all the stages, you probably can even run them again – your choice. The courses of fire will involve a Defensive Rifle (AR-15, AK, SKS, Mini-14 etc. with approx. 200rds), a Defensive Handgun (a modern semi-auto handgun with approx. 200rds), and a shotgun (approx 25rds). There are always bragging rights and many opportunities to learn more about the sport and improve your times.

This event is considered an Outlaw 3 Gun Event even though we follow pretty closely all standard competitive shooting safety rules. What makes it really super cool is that several stages of any given match use the Natural Terrain of Pawnee Sportsmen's Center (1,800 acres and one of Colorado's largest range facilities) in the courses of fire. This 3+ Gun Event is meant to be fun for all levels of shooters – beginners are encouraged and always welcome. Rental guns available.

Next Event is July 19th, 2014

More regular 3-Gun in Colorado!? Hooray! I'll keep an eye on these and wish you the best of luck moving forward.

Wife wants to go camping that weekend, but if that doesn't happen... I'll be there with bells on. That LR match we had last month was a great "intro to your new DTA" for me.

Any idea what types of shooting will happen after dark, type of gun, and distances? I need to know what kind of lighting to bring, especially since I currently have no good lighting options for my VersaMax.

Check in is at 5pm so we will have a couple hours of day light and that will give us time to complete 2 stages on natural terrain and then we will bring it in closer.
Night stages will be shot on the square ranges... everything will be a 100 yards and shorter... probably a lot shorter.

It will be regular 3 Gun set ups... Handgun, Carbine, Shotgun.

Bring Bug spray! ..... maybe extra batteries for your light too.

So need lights on shotguns I take it? I have light setups for the pistol and carbine.

How would a 540lumen Streamlight headlamp work for the shotgun part of that in your opinion?

Also, one of my lights has a laser too? Allowed to run the laser when I'm running that light?

I am betting most wont have a light set up on shot guns. So handheld or lamp is fine. We will have the safety briefing for evening/night stages as it gets dark.
It will be more handgun / carbine centric but I wont rule out the shotgun use for a night stage - it wont probably be heavy though.

Bring what you have - shoot what you have and it will be interesting to see what appears. Bring friends.

Lamps are good to go.... Lasers are still TBD but I lean towards yes cause they still wont illuminate a target and they will have to be on target to get the hits.
