Moved into my new house in late August last year. Finally no more dirt and mud!!! My sons and I did it all (including the fence) except for the concrete and sod.

I do still need to put a tree in the front yard.

You did a great job! I like the curves that you've put in, with pretty plants. It looks like it will be easy to mow, and yet generates interest with the pops of color from flowers and the rocks. Is that vinca (also known as periwinkle) that you planted along the side (next to the sidewalk)? If so, is it the variety with the purple flowers or the yellow flowers? I saw some with yellow flowers today, and it was really stunning against dark colored mulch.

Looks good!
That sidewalk will have entertaining values with snow on it!

It is vinca major along the along the sidewalk, it has purple flowers.

The sidewalk should be OK as we shouldn't use it much in the winter. I am surprised my sons haven't bombed down it yet on a skateboard or bike.
