View Full Version : Huff Post Dog Post
The Huffington Post sucks but they blindsided me with this one. Dog lovers beware, allergies are in the air.
Well done and very moving (for a liberal hack!).

Damn it I'm glad I can wear sunglasses at work.
Thanks for for sharing that. My black lab is getting up there in years and I know that this day isn't too far down the road.
[Cry] damn allergies again....

The last thing my GSD did was snatch a doughnut out of my hand. My wife looked at me like I lost my mind, but I said he's at the end of the line and what he love most in life is my food. He was still licking his chops when the doc gave him the shot.
I saw that the other day. It hit me especially hard since we went through cancer treatment with my GSP two months ago and had his left front leg removed. He was doing great for almost 3 weeks with three legs, but the damn bone cancer got the best of him when he fell in a hole and broke his hind leg. His last day may not have been as happy as this one's, but we loved him everyday. It's only been one and a half months since we said goodbye, and it's been tough.
Dogs became part of Mankinds clan eon's ago, a member that protected, hunted and fought with and for the group. Not many other animals can claim that. Doesn't mater if your pup is a mini-something lap dog or a Alsatian, they have the same (pretty scary) descendant that chose to hang around a campfire with some dumb caveman,.... way,.... way back.
I like Dogs and I'm glad the Creator decided to hook us up with them, I don't think it was by chance either. Its a plan.
