Tantal Owners

I'm wondering who else on here owns a Polish Tantal and what makes do y'all have?

Also do you buy your 5.45 online or at stores in town?


I have a Lancaster Tantal and I haven't bought too much ammo but the little I did buy was at a gun show and from 5280 Armory.

I just got rid of mine, kinda miss it too. I kept my romanian, mostly because of the custom work done to it. If you can find it local it avoids the shipping on the heavy ammo, but if not I have got it from J&G in the past. My Marine buddy taught his daughter to shoot with my tantal.

Nice. I wish I would've learned to shoot on something like that. I think my pops taught me with a .38 and a 12 gauge.

Did you ever use corrosive? I have and I've found out that either a. it's not corrosive, or b. we just don't have enough humidity here to corrode things. The funny thing is on gunbroker people are selling the 1000 round packs of Wolf for pretty much the same price as the 1080 round cans of Russian/Bulgarian surplus.

Yes, i shoot the corrosive stuff, kinda leaves a green tint inside the brake, but windex works wonders. Whatever is cheaper works fine for me.

I'm the same way. I'm almost done with this tin of Bulgarian that I bought last summer. I had a few Silver Bear hp's but I don't really like the idea of hp's in an assault rifle so I bump fire those at the end of every shooting session. [AR15]
