As I've read the law, a "no-weapons" sign doesn't give us CCW holders a pass. I've only been one place where a private shop owner has prohibited weapons on-site but allows those who're legally carrying concealed to bring their guns inside.
I understand and respect the rights a private owner has to mandate a no-weapons policy (as much as I disagree with it on general principle) in the case of Fiddler's Green but I don't understand how Red Rocks Amphitheater can maintain a no-firearms policy as it's owned and operated by the City of Denver as such a policy is in direct conflict with the state and federal constitutions.
Anyone have more info on how this is in any way legal?
Sorry if bringing Red Rocks into this steers the thread off-topic... feel free to steer it back in the right direction if needed.
I believe they would argue it falls under the exception of city buildings etc. ie. courthouse.
Interesting argument, though. I think you should pursue it.

Went to Fiddler's Green recently to see Aerosmith and ZZ Top. Great show, but damn, I'm too old and fat with too many injuries to stand for that many hours. Thought I was gonna die. And there's NFW I'd try to CCW in there. Not that dangerous of a place anyway. Too many people around.

If it is property of Denver, I would carry concealed. As usual concealed means concealed. There is usually so much pot and other drugs there that I dont think anyone will know your carrying.
As usual, if it stays concealed, no harm, no foul, but if for some reason it were to become exposed, you would be subject to ejection at best, criminal charges at worst. My general policy is if they post no weapons, either don't patronize them, or secure my weapon before going in.

Fiddlers Green,,is not Red Rocks
