This is how antis get away with claiming that "no mass shooting has ever been stopped by a citizen with a gun" because the very act of stopping the mass shooter prevents the shooter from being a MASS shooter thus no mass shooting stopped.

Media sites that report these news stories are gaining market share. Those that do not are loosing share.
Unfortunately if that was my employer they would have fired me [facepalm]

ABC reported that the Hospital will be welcoming him (Dr) back to work after he recovers.

Once again. The antis will probably whine about how the bad guy got any guns without paying attention to the fact that a good guy with a gun stopped the incident.
thetruthaboutguns.com was wondering how this would be spun by the MSM to be anti gun and quickly got their answer: Some media outlets are using headlines similar to "Doctor-patient shootout" rather than the more realistic "Armed doctor prevents mass murder"

I work where there are nut cases, criminal, and convicts every fuckin' day. I cannot even carry a legal pocket knives due to the sissy libtard assmonkeys running the place. There is even a new program in place for emergency procedure, but it does not include defending yourself.. But have no worries the sign on the front door says no weapons allowed, so we're safe.......Assholes....
But have no worries the sign on the front door says no weapons allowed, so we're safe.
It's a good thing weapons can read those signs, right?
I have always wondered why they try to save a criminal's life, just to send him to jail and become a huge burden on society. I say let them bleed out and to be forgotten.
Good story but I'm betting the Dr. will quietly loose his job.

Criminal had a .32 revolver and Dr. Silverman had a .32 semi-auto pistol. Significant criminal history and felony conviction in 1996 barred legal ownership of firearms for life. On top of that, the criminal had diagnosed mental history and had been seen by Dr. Silverman, off and on for the past 20 years. The police are still working on where the criminal's gun came from, but DA Whelan stated that Dr. Silverman was in compliance with all state laws concerning his firearm possession.
A gun can't prevent every crime, but it sure beats being an unarmed victim.
That would explain why the perp was shot 3 times in the torso and still had to be taken down by several folks in the office.
Yeah shoulda had a .33 or .34
.32 revolver at close range killed Theresa Hunt. The criminal was hit twice in the torso and once in the arm and was wrestled to the ground by two grown men.
This isn't a caliber war.
If/when it is reported where the criminal's got his gun, I will try to remember to post it up in this thread.
