This seemed like the best place to post this so the USPSA folks would get a look so mods please leave up for a couple days.My son and I just got back from the MGM USPSA Junior Camp in Parma, Idaho. It was a great experience for him and the whole family – although he is hooked enough now that it may cost me the price of a 2011 someday soon. The Colorado USPSA community has been great since I got my son started with matches this year and I owe a lot of thanks, so here goes:

· First off thanks to Charlie Perez for training him, mentoring him and giving advice/tips at matches. He would not be where he is without your help

· Thanks to Frank Winn (aka Mr. Glock) for showing him that Glocks can be cool and helping us upgrade the trigger. That helped a LOT.

· Thanks to Hoser for helping me square away his classification with USPSA and hooking him up with a range bag that another shooter donated for a kid.

· Thanks to Mike Payne for wearing his little ass out at the Wed night pistol sessions. The 2 sessions he hit this summer before the camp made a world of difference.

· Thanks to A-Aron for the coaching and encouragement at matches and practice sessions.I hope you don’t cost me the purchase of an open gun!

· Thanks to Rick Bittle for loaning us some 9 mm when the May Steel Challenge match didn’t go quite……as planned.

· Thanks to Ron Burns for DQing him when he went 180+ at Ramah a couple months ago and then explaining why. Invaluable experience for him.

· Thanks to all the shooters who bought raffle tickets to support the camp.Including some guys who bought tickets and when I tried to fill out the stub told me to put my son’s name on the ticket.

Everyone we have shot with this year has been great. The camp was an awesome experience for him.He had training sessions with Matt Burkett, Manny Bragg, Steve Shrouffe, Eddie Garcia, Travis Tomasie and Chuck Anderson and got to shoot a short Juniors match at the end.The Gibsons and everyone at MGM bust their butts and put on a great camp.If anyone wants to know about what we did and the process of getting into the camp please shoot me a PM.And again, thanks to all.
