What advancements happened when the m9 was adopted? I mean that made shootings more deadly. My next question is about Beretta reliability. Wasn't the fail rate for the m9 in testing something like one stoppage in 1000 rounds and no mechanincal failures? I had one that was utterly reliable.

So, according to this article, the percentage of people in the ER with multiple gunshot wounds went up after the M9 was introduced because it was a revolutionary and scary semi-automatic.
