Pro-Gun groups should split screen the Everytown for Gun contol with the same scenario showing a woman and a firearm able to protect her kid.

The biggest problem with people on both sides is mistaking the party line for the individual line. Both sides/parties are wrong/right depending on the topic and the person. "I don't trust 'em" is what keeps the "Right" from winning elections. Here you have some women showing why they support guns and yet still push them away. Nobody agree's 100% with anybody else, take this a chance to get behind somebody that can make a difference (a lot of voting women watch that show) and help keep the 2nd strong instead of a chance to tear them down.

It's somewhat similar to the old joke about a Republican being a Democrat who figured out what his tax bill is. It's funny how many of those anti-gun Democrats become pro-gun after dealing with a home intruder or stalker.

No, it isn't. It's written prominently into the democratic party platform that they are anti-gun. They want to ban guns and infringe more and more on everyone's right to exercise 2A rights and freedoms. Anyone who supports that through voting for the democrat party is the enemy, regardless of what their "individual line" is. Another reason why the party is far more important than the person.

How is that keeps the right from winning elections but it helps the democrats win elections? The left feeds on distrust and even thrives on it. The ideology of the left is built on lies..."the war on women", "Bush lied, people died", "no war for oil", "you can keep your health plan", ad nauseum. I'm not suggesting that the right should lie and cheat...I'm just suggesting that's the difference between the two philosophies and that's why there are so many anti-gun types out there in the first place...because of all the lies about guns and gun owners (ie: gun owners/conservatives/people on the right are evil, don't trust them) perpetuated by the left.

Nobody's pushing them away. It's a YouTube video...how can anyone possibly be pushing them away? And how can you possibly tell what their overall views on gun ownership are from that video? I can't recall everything those women said but it seems to me that most of them were simply arguing for having a gun IN THE HOME. Do you think they're in favor of "common sense" gun laws? Do you think they would agree that "nobody needs an assault rifle with a 30 round clip to hunt deer"? Do you think, despite what they're saying about having a gun in the home most of those women vote for democrats? The people who produce The View and the talking heads on camera at The View are typically very far left. Saying they want a gun for protection in their home doesn't equate to being pro-gun, any more than the fact Diane Feinstein is pro-gun because she owns a gun for protection. Most likely it makes them hypocrites...because I'd bet very few of them vote against the democrat party and that party's stance on gun ownership and gun control. Of course, that's speculation on my part...I don't know how they vote.

The bottom line is there is no such thing as a pro-gun democrat. Period. If a person supports the democrat party they are NOT pro gun. And that makes them my enemy and I don't want to count that person as my friend.

Bailey, not gonna get into another pointless thread war with ya, especially when many of your statements make my point. If you see a D after November it is precisely the closed tent, my way or the highway, anything 'their' sides says I'm against even if I would otherwise agree mindset that got them there. To say either side has the high ground after First Bush and then Obama is self denial. Both sides lie and NEITHER less than the other, it just depends on the topic.

We will see in November if your side wins or if luckily we can actually get some more R's in office.
