The House adopted the resolution by a vote of 225-201. Five Republicans joined a unanimous Democratic conference to vote against the measure. They were Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY), Walter Jones (R-NC), Paul Broun (R-GA), Steve Stockman (R-TX) and Scott Garrett (R-NJ).

ETA: Not related at all to suing the pres, Allen West thinks impeachment is a bad idea.

You just have to hand it to the Democrats. They are not incompetent – evil, yes — but not incompetent. They’ve now successfully made the word “impeachment” verboten in America. In fact, they’ve managed to turn it into political heyday as they celebrate fundraising records based on generating fear among their base over something that’s not happening. They’ve been successful in forcing Americans to accept a lawless president, all for political gain. The Democrats have manipulated America in such a way that elevates one man to be indeed greater than the rule of law in our Constitutional Republic.

To borrow a word from Oprah Winfrey, brilliant.

So now President Barack Hussein Obama can march on and even issue an executive order granting amnesty to the illegal aliens who have defied our sovereign border — basically remaking the demographic balance of America in his ideological favor.

And in doing so, dares the GOP — actually any law-abiding American — to do anything to stop him. We are politically teetering on the verge of dictatorship as a result of paralyzing fear. Democrats have effectively outmaneuvered the fail safe measures entrusted to us by our Founding Fathers to replace the rule of law with the rule of one.

So what do we do to stop it? Simple, we must do that which the Democrats truly fear: ensure they lose control of the U.S. Senate and expand the GOP House majority. Obama foments the idea of “impeachment” and therefore it’s not what he really fears. He would want nothing more than for his final two years in office to be a repeat of the first two. We cannot allow that to happen. As well, this must leak over to the 2016 presidential election. We must ensure voters are reminded of Democrats’ insatiable hunger for absolute rule and exile them from the White House for at least 24 years.

American people must come to understand Barack Hussein Obama cares less about America than his own accumulation of power. In other words, this bear must be caged. Obama’s incessant unilateral actions violate our fundamental separation of powers and idea of coequal branches of government.

Do not take the bait from Obama and the Democrats, even though we all know his unilateral negotiations with a terrorist organization to release five senior members of the Taliban truly represent a high crime and misdemeanor.

But let’s outsmart Obama as he creates the ruse of a constitutional crisis for his political gain. I appreciate Obama’s useful idiot Dan Pfeiffer coming out and singing the accolades on impeachment. As Politico reported (http://politix.topix.com/news/13324-are-democrats-angling-for-impeachment-of-president-obama), “White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer warned last Friday that the possibility of an impeachment of the president shouldn’t be discarded.”

In addition, it’s a big moneymaker! As the Washington Post reports (http://politix.topix.com/news/13324-are-democrats-angling-for-impeachment-of-president-obama), The Democrats’ congressional campaign arm pulled in $2.1 million in online donations over the weekend – the best four-day haul of the current election cycle – largely propelled by fundraising pitches tied to speculation that House Republicans could pursue the impeachment of President Obama.

There’s nothing better than an arrogant enemy who overplays his hand. And that is exactly what the Democrats have just done!

Impeachment is definitely warranted but is a really bad idea. I'm not sure suing is much better. The republicans need to tread lightly here or learn how to manipulate the media to their advantage on this. Otherwise I see bad outcomes because the democrats know how to lie too well and they'll spin this into everything it isn't. Suing a black president? The nerve.

I think back to back impeachments would be awesome.
Who knows, with the influx of illegals from south of the border, his minority base is becoming less and less pleased by the day. Democrat politicians want to distance themselves from him before the election. Now might just be the best shot.

But, it's all just theater anyway. http://animationsa2z.com/attachments/Image/candies/candies28.gif Sit back and enjoy the show - you are no longer able to participate.

Impeachment would guarantee the R's get damaged badly in November.
It would make him the victim.
And his voter base grows daily, legal or not.

No president in history has deserved impeachment more but it would be stupid politically for the Republicans to pursue that option and most of them know it. The Democrats and their cohorts in the mainstream media are already turning a non-existent threat of impeachment into a moneymaking rallying cry to try to get their base energized.
They have misrepresented the investigation into Clinton's misuse of executive powers and resulting impeachment for 20 years, you think there would be any honest reporting this time?
Heck, there isn't even honest reporting about the lesser action of a lawsuit to keep him from exercising powers he doesn't have or the stupidity of anyone in the judiciary who thinks Congress doesn't have standing to sue over illegal changes to established law.

Funny how the dems are saying impeachment is racist/bad/whatever... IIRC, Sheila Jackson Lee wanted to impeach W when he was in office. What? So we can only impeach those ebil Republicans? Give me a break. So much hypocrisy with these stains on the human race!

Now, suing Obama, good. At least then he and Moochelle will have a legit excuse to claim that they're "dead broke" when they leave 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
