I agree. That's wrong.
I could say why.... but I think I'll just keep my mouth shut. We all know there are double standards and I'm pretty sure we can expect to see a lot more of it.

RRD3 what double standards are you speaking of? I'm not trying to start an argument or anything. I'm just curious.

I don't like the man either, but he's been in office for 4 months. It's hardly enough time to speak about double standards. Especially when no one paid attention to the cries of double standards over the last 233 years. And prior to those years if you count the time prior to "our breakup with the King".
And before someone says it, no I'm not saying that two wrongs make a right. Nor am I saying that I agree with what could end up being a double standard system in the other direction.
I'm simply saying that not enough time has passed for such a strong assessment. And that's not to say that I don't believe it won't happen either.
Just my .02
That one person of race can be racist for saying or doing something and another person of race is just stating his true feelings. There is a double standard and if you fail to see that then your are bias some way or another.
The drop of the "Panther" charges which is a blatant violation of voter intimidation with out cause is a sign of how this administration is going to act.
You have a Supreme Court judge nominee who has clearly stated that her being female and Hispanic makes her a better judge than anyone else. And then we are told by the White House to watch your mouth when speaking about her. FUCK THAT
Socialist programs and welfare being implemented at an alarming rate, which do nothing than give to those who are not willing to get it for themselves. When you have been told all your life to work hard for what you want, support your family, support your country and you will succeed. Then you have an ass clown president who then implements policy which gives what I worked for away. Another form of double standards.
I do not need 1500 examples or 4 years of history laid before me to see how this is going to play out. I guess you need to be slapped in the face before you know that someone intends on treating you like a bitch. I do not.
In my .02 you will see the "do as I say not as I do" bullshit with this administration more so than any other time in history.

All right calm down man. lol I'm just asking. [Beer]
It's definitely a bs thing like I said in my first post. To me it just seems as though people are having a bigger problem with him than they have with other presidents. (No I'm not saying anyone here is racist)
To me they all do the same things. It's all manipulated. I just happen to notice a stronger hostility to him than to our previous presidents.
But again for the record, I don't like the admin. either. Tell you the truth I've never like any of them.

Picture a couple of skinhead looking white guys trying to intimidate minority voters with a bat etc. Then they were arrested only to have all complaints/charges dismissed and dropped after a caucasian Attorney General take the office.
I am not wearing my tin hat yet -- just pointing out what might have caused the concerns on this matter.

Maybe we have a problem because a "man" didn't get elected, a party did. The Dems saw the writing on the wall and banded together. Clinton got what she wanted by siding with Hussien, Biden got the VP for Christ sake. Not one of them was strong enough to win on thier own, but together? We got screwed. Bush Jr. will never go down in history as a great president, but he did ok. Clinton the 1st will forever be known as the BJ guy. Untill ALL the politicians realize that they are Americans FIRST, elected and not anointed second, we are condemed to the left vs. right bullshit.
I have had a problem with all the most recent presidents as they do nothing to uphold the Constitution. But what we have now is a president that not only will ignore the Constitution, but is willing and wanting to Socialize this Country.
I HATE THAT!
Companies should be able to fail. They are private companies with the same opportunity to succeed or fail just like anyone else. When our... strike that. When THE Government owns 70% of General Motors and dictates it's business plan and direction, what makes it any different that what ditators have done in the past? Nothing really.... just the first step in total Government control.
Our current administration has overstepped it's governing powers and the citizens of this great Country side idle. I'm not sure if you have ever read the Federalist Papers or not, but I have from start to end.
These writings are the intention and aspirations of our founding fathers and no were do I see anything like what's going on now. To read the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Federalist Papers and see what's going on now does nothing more than piss me right the fuck off.
Unlike the Sheeple of this Country I will not remain idle and fade into the dark of this administration. No Pun intended.
The people of this Country are TOO calm. That's the problem.
Here's a link to the Papers... read them when you get the chance and if doesn't get you riled up then you are missing the heart and soul of this Nations place on this earth.
http://www.foundingfathers.info/federalistpapers/fedindex.htm
I can't stop venting on this subject. When people say he has only been in office 4 months doesn't mean shit. He has done more to destroy this Nation in 4 months than any other time in history.
I can go on and on, but why?
All right calm down man. lol I'm just asking. [Beer]

I feel you on that. In my opinion I think it's all an agenda that they all follow. That might seem conspiracy theory to some but the evidence is there. So when I look at Obama I just see the next step. I don't think he's any better or any worse than Bush or the rest.
We were sold out long before Jr. I remember back in like '03 I told people that whoever succeeded Bush would push for things to go the other way because the majority would accept it after what he had done.
I'm gonna try and find this youtube video I remember watching. It's not really "proof" of anything but it gets the gears in the noggin turning.
I just had a friend on Facebook who's in Cali ask me how is it possible for me to have a Polish AK. He thought they were illegal. lol

Maybe we have a problem because a "man" didn't get elected, a party did. The Dems saw the writing on the wall and banded together.
Here's where I have a problem with this situation - and the above comment:
The popular election was much closer than the Electoral College vote even hinted at.
The incident with the Black Panthers is just ONE of HUNDREDS of cited complaints where groups such as the Panthers, and (most notably) ACORN are accused of voter intimidation and voter fraud. There is substantial documentation supporting these cases yet it has all been swept under the rug and no one is really getting prosecuted nor convicted for it. In fact, in regards to ACORN, the government flatly not only refused to investigate but prevented anyone else from launching an investigation into wrongdoing. I'm certain that, had the accusations been lofted towards wrongdoing on behalf of the Republican (or any other non-Democratic candidate) party, we'd still be hearing about it in the mainstream media and they wouldn't rest until people were in prison.
Perhaps I should be wearing a tin foil hat for my thinking here, but in what is supposed (key word there) to be an open and honest process, there are just too many questions that are not getting answered.

^ So true! And it can go without saying if this went on say in the south with men wearing "sheets" of white what would go on because of their actions. Its seems in vogue to be racist against white people. The old..white man is bad thing. Such a shame. I'm from the south originally and the most racist race down there isn't white.
Outrage and anger aside, is anyone surprised? I'm not.
When I first saw the video from philly on the news I said to my father "Nothing's gonna happen to them"

What I think is it's just the roles reversing. Some people think that if bad happens then the way to make things better is to just push it back the other way. I can understand that mindset but nevertheless it's wrong.
The only way to correct things is to have things be good for everyone. I don't see that happening for a long time though. Unfortunately.
The way I view it, the underdog sees a chance to "get back" and it's out of frustration and ignorance.
But at least some of us here are sane. lol
Now where's my tin hat? I saw it earlier.

Don't sugar coat it! She said she'd hope that she'd be better than a white male. That is specific and totally different than saying "anyone else." In fact, if she had said "I feel that I'd do the best job, better than ANYONE ELSE." This quote would not be an issue. It's totally okay to think you are the best, and better than everyone else; that is the mind set of every athlete out there. The more I think about it, the more it sounds like she totally got suckered and trapped with that question.
So let's all take a life lesson from this example. If you ever want to say you are better than someone else, make sure you specify that you think you're better than everyone in the room, and everyone in the world. That way people call you cocky and won't buy you a beer. As opposed to people calling you racist and slashing your tires. [Beer]

I dont think Sotomayor is a racist... she however is a
'policy maker' per her own belief. The high court had turned over many of her decision on appeals in the past. I'd say it's scary to have someone who thought that she can make policy not base on the constitution.
Unlike where she is now, once she is in the supreme court, any 'wrong' decision she helps making cannot be reversible.

Sturtle I agree with you
However, isn't that who most of them have been? lol [Coffee]
Um.... That was a prepared speech she gave. No questions asked of her.
She took the time to write it down and deliver that speech. And if you read her speech she is not being a braggart, she is stating what she thinks of Hispanic females.
Of course any thing you read can be interpreted on how it's read. I read it that way.

That's a generally weird thing to say then. Why would she even bring something like that up when it would cause so much trouble. Sounds like maybe she didn't use her best judgment when writing the speech.
I slay myself.

That I can agree with.... which is really bad considering she is a "JUDGE" [Rant2]
