So my back and front yard look like the house has been abandoned for a year or so. I figure it is time to do something about it.

Anyone here do that stuff? Know someone you like for it?

Gonna need a clear cut of the back, then some sod or grass or something (If I knew or cared I wouldn't be posting this).

Front just needs to be cleaned up. Tree could stand to be trimmed.

I'm in the same boat but don't know anyone yet. I think we're going to spend the rest of the summer and fall prepping the backyard for spring. Fortunately I've done a decent job of keeping up with the front yard.

My friend is starting up a landscape company. He's been involved in landscaping for a long time and is doing jobs on the side to try and build his business. Downside, it may take a little longer since he does it on nights/weekends but I can get you his number if you're interested.

Does he do decks? If so send me his number.

If he is available this weekend that will work.

Getting my backyard put in tomorrow. I'll let you know how it turns out. He's bringing in 4 ton of rock and I think 6 ton of fill. I'm going with seed so he can blend it all in and top seed the rest. Thought he was really reasonable. Blue spruce lawn and landscaping in Broomfield.

I need a deck guy too.....

And the HOA would nip that idea in the bud........

So I called one guy, waited 24 hours and didn't get a return call. Called another guy, waited 24 hours and no return call moved on again. Called a third guy and he actually answered the phone, awesome. He is scheduled to come to my house at 9 this morning to look the place over and get to work. Just called him asking if we are still on. Oh yes he says, should be there just after noon today. His ad said vet owned. Clearly not a vet who believes in punctuality.

Obviously my yard is really bad an word has gotten out so no one wants to take my money to clean it up.

Obviously my yard is really bad an word has gotten out so no one wants to take my money to clean it up.We are dealing with contractors to repair a bunch of damage to our home in Arvada. Let me tell you, one of those guys answering the phone is a rarity. Calling you back in 24 hours is out of the norm, 2-3 days has been our experience.

So my landscaper flaked the eff out. Job still isn't done. Promise after promise.
Fired.

I need river rock and grass. Some is done. Still needs work. Rock and grass. Not sure how to go with grass now. Seed or Sod?

Need it done ASAP in Broomfield.

Screw seed and screw sod. My next house will have that high quality fake grass. No sprinkler system to freeze and break and heads to snap. No watering and the high bills associated with it. No mowing and the gas or electric it takes. No fertilizer that can be harmful to the dogs and kids, no aerating and the plugs. and the biggest thing is the time that is saved. Worth every penny,

And the HOA would nip that idea in the bud........

What I have found with HOAs, it's sometimes better to ask for forgiveness than permission. However, we manage the HOA between the homeowners and not outside management. We ended up
saving about $800 a year per household.
