None of this is really surprising - kids will react in all kinds of ways. The only "surprise" is in the 3rd setup, the lady clearly tells the kids the gun is a toy - but in the fox and friends episode everyone is surprised the kids touched the toy gun after she left the room. Again, not at all surprising to me, although in Fox n friends they all seemed to miss that she told the kids it was a toy.

So what was the results of the research? She presents some videos and they talk some smack, but they never get what was the outcome of it all. Yep, some kids are taught well, others aren't. Duh. Some kids follow rules better than others. Duh.

Hey, it is a story about guns and that will get us some viewership points! Yay!

There is nothing positive going to come from gun "set-ups". If the children treat the guns as they should (i.e. do not touch and report to a grown up) then the videos would not be newsworthy. If any of the children handle the guns inappropriately then it'll make the news and will be used to initiate a new study about the relationship between guns, children, accidental shootings, and violence- forwarding the anti-gun campaign now in effect. I cringe when I see videos like this being commented on by psychologists.

All well said. I am not surprised by what was observed.
