One of my buddies made his own cornhole boards, and I thought, hell, I can do that. So I did. Or started to anyway.
First step, watch this video:
Io8X4pz_QJ0
Next, visit this website to get an idea of how to build cornhole boards: http://www.cornholehowto.com/build-them-boards/dimensions/
Next, gather supplies and cut the 2x4s to length. I bought 2x 2'x4'x1/2" birch plywood boards and 2x 2"x4"s. I had the rest of the wood needed. I also needed to buy the 6" holesaw.

Next, cut your hole. The hole should be centered width wise and 9" from the top of the board.
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m591/Sharpienads/2_zpse0b35143.jpg (http://s1133.photobucket.com/user/Sharpienads/media/2_zpse0b35143.jpg.html)
Make sure the frame fits like it should. I used pocket holes for mine instead of screwing in from the top. I also used glue.

http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m591/Sharpienads/4_zpsd3bc84c3.jpg (http://s1133.photobucket.com/user/Sharpienads/media/4_zpsd3bc84c3.jpg.html)
Looks good so far.

Now would be a good time to take a break and talk about attention to detail. The screws I used to attach the frame to the top were 1 1/2" screws, the screws I used to attached the long sides of the frame to the short sides were 2" screws. I think you can see where this is going. Long story short, I screwed my cornhole board to my work table. If you decide to make your own, don't do that.

Looks nice, how are you planning on painting it?

FIFY.
Also, did you get splinters? [sheepshagger]

Next, drill a hole for the bolt that holds the legs. I found this to be difficult to get perfectly centered. But I just wallowed out my hole a little and got my legs to tuck flat in the boards.
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m591/Sharpienads/6_zpsa1ac64b9.jpg (http://s1133.photobucket.com/user/Sharpienads/media/6_zpsa1ac64b9.jpg.html)
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m591/Sharpienads/7_zps332a7a96.jpg (http://s1133.photobucket.com/user/Sharpienads/media/7_zps332a7a96.jpg.html)
Next, trace where you're going to round over the top of the legs:
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m591/Sharpienads/8_zps570858ac.jpg (http://s1133.photobucket.com/user/Sharpienads/media/8_zps570858ac.jpg.html)
Rough cut with the jigsaw (how'd those toes get in there?):
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m591/Sharpienads/9_zps8db635a1.jpg (http://s1133.photobucket.com/user/Sharpienads/media/9_zps8db635a1.jpg.html)
Then I cleaned them up with the bench sander.
Prop the board up somehow to get the top of the board to be 12" tall and hang one leg over the edge of your worktable.
http://i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m591/Sharpienads/10_zps82499340.jpg (http://s1133.photobucket.com/user/Sharpienads/media/10_zps82499340.jpg.html)
Then draw a line on your leg so you know what angle to cut it at. It should be around 45*, I think mine were 42*.

Cut your legs and attach. Now you have cornhole boards!!!

Hahaha, oops. I fixed it.
I am planning on making Avalanche / CO flag boards. Basically, imagine the flag but with burgundy and white stripes. The "C" will be around the hole and will be blue. Towards the bottom, I bought a couple of 16"x13" decals. Then I'll cover everything with poly until its smooth.
These are the decals:

ETA: I also ordered burgundy and blue cornhole bags.
Looking good. Just finished mine other than the design. I'm going with hunting theme and stained wood.

Post some pics!
Will do when I get them finished
I looked into this last year when it came up for the company work party. They said no one had any and I thought, "Hell I could make that." Then I thought, "I could make a bunch, paint them pretty, and sell them on Craigslist!!!" Then I checked Craigslist and saw that 50 other people had that same idea and actually did it. Saturated market. Looks good!

I'm a fan of the game with 2 golf balls tied together and thrown at a PVC ladder-type thingy. The more beer consumed, the better it gets.
Ladder ball. There is another one with a flat board with three holes in it. You throw heavy steel discs and try to get them into the holes.

Just found this thread. Looks nice! I'm pretty disappointed that there was no beer in the second set of pictures, but the toe shot kinda makes up for it.

I've seen that game beore, but never played it. It looks fun. You should look into Polish Horseshoes.... that game is awesome. It's gonna be my next project.

Washers is an awesome game. We played that a lot when we lived in Texass.

Sorry, I forgot to put the beer in the pics, probably because I had drank too much. But I thought the toe shot was kinda funny.
Here are the boards, all finished except for the poly top coat. I wish I would have made the "C" a little bigger, but other than that I am really happy with the way they turned out.

Still a a ways to go, sanding, more stain, clear coat. But it is coming along. Other one I'm considering mule deer foundation, the browning deer, ducks unlimited or pheasants forever.

Very cool, man. I don't know about you, but ever since I started building mine all I can think about is playing.
Addiction! I had it for a while, but with hunting season upon us, my focus is on my bow, my rifle and getting my gear ready and perfecting my calling

Nice paint job, Sharpienads!
I'm thinking about doing a diamond plate set of boxes. It will change the game due to the stick vs. slide, but I think they'll look badass.

And blinding players with the sun and burning them as well. Many games are better with a little danger mixed in.

Never thought of that. You'll be the first person I invite. A little blindness on your end might get me back in a position to beat you in IDPA again.

Thanks! Just to be clear, the "A" and the bigfoot are stickers, I didn't paint those, just the flag background.
I think diamond plating would be pretty cool, even if it did change the game dynamics. Gotta keep people on their toes.
