Hey has anyone seen that two tone C130 flying into Buckley recently? It is half white half black or navy blue. It is not OD green like the majority of them. I back to Chambers close to Yale and have seen it fly over three times in the past couple weeks.

It might just be an Air Force C130 but with all the stories (conspiracy theories) of UN people on the ground around the US and (fact) Barry flying Ebola patients into the US I was curious as to who the plane belongs to and what markings it has. Most AF planes are all one shade of blue. I was wondering if anyone close to Buckley AFB can see it on the runway.

NOAA Hurk.

There are a couple threads on this already. It is an extensive air quality testing going on.

I assume it is not the Blue Angels C-130 with the mid yellow stripe and yellow nose cone? That hing is impressive.

It's the black C-5s that fly the pallet loads of gold to other countries, not C-130s.

Saw it fly low over Chambers and Hampden on Saturday. Was in a park and everyone stopped what they were doing and watched it fly over.

Not the most fuel efficient aircraft to use to test air quality. Kind of like using a mac truck to spread the word about car pooling. Wonder if they are shutting down an engine or two at times?

That's one of the few things I miss about living in GA, it was a constant airshow. Between the 130Js I was building, the final months of the F22 program, and the ramp up of the C5M program. There was always something in the air.

I got got a real sense of pride every time one of those big bastards buzzed my house.

Great...now I gotta be on the lookout for more chem-trails.

It probably it has to do with the payload. That thing is probably packed to the gills with all sorts of metering equipment. And NOAA still likes to use magnetic tapes for data storage.

The NOAA Hurk has lots of stuff in the back. And lots of probes to measure lots of stuff.

All that crap wont fit in a King Air...

Snowflake. They also have a G5 and a P3.

Went to the open house last weekend. Not a J model, but much nicer than most of the AF Hercs I've been inside.

Is it the same data storage system the IRS uses?

I've seen a ton of these sampling planes and most have streams of exhaust smoke coming from the engines. Are these planes diesel? How is this exhaust effecting the numbers, I thought I heard the sensor was in the tail. . And finally it seems like they are just racking up hours. I see them constantly over Wheat Ridge and Golden. Like 20 plus sightings on one day, and multiple day a week.

Thanks for answering the question. That first picture of the NSF plane is it. They are flying really low. Love the link about the foil beanie!

The onboard meters are usually in the nose and leading edge of the wings. The engines are turbo-prop engines that run on JP-8 jet fuel, basically kerosene.

Since they are studying pollutants in the air, it makes sense to take multiple measurements at various hours so they can see how traffic and business effects the emissions.

Any time you see dark exhaust or white trails coming from the back of heavy aircraft I would get inside quickly. It is a chemical ingredient added to fuel which is a mind controlling agent...or so people have been told.

They are most likely being run on jet A, not JP-8
and it's "affects"

JP-8 actually. Cheaper. Jet A only when 8 isnt available.

Kbjc doesn't have JP8 unless NOAA has their own tanks and trucks which I don't remember seeing in all the years I worked there

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and just assume you're trolling.

Dude.... Believers? There's no belief. There's no believers. You either know, or they've already gotten to you and they control your mind enough you can't see the truth for what it is.

I don't like either of you at the moment ....
