View Full Version : Anyone Put Their Hands on a Walther CCP?
It's a new introduction and the gas delayed blowback system looks interesting. I'd like to get a feel for dimensions and how it fits my hands. Have there been any local sightings?

New Gun Alert: The Walther CCP (http://www.mrcolionnoir.com/news/new-gun-alert-walther-ccp/)
Gotta resurrect this one. Cabellas at Lone Tree had one last weekend. They had some mixed reviews late last year, but seem to have gotten past those. Don't really notice any significant reduction in recoil. Although I couldn't tell much difference in racking the slide, I did have a small female who has had difficulty racking anything other than the P238 try it with no problem.
Feels great in the hand. Disassembly is a PITA, but after a few times I really don't mind it. Trigger Reset is all the way out.
I have an XDs and the CCP is slightly larger. I use the same holsters for both. Not for pocket carry. If I want pocket carry I just use the 238.

Saw one at a Tanner show back in March. It felt great in my hands, and I thought about getting it, but when I circled the isle, it was sold. The gas venting looks very similar to the HK P7 which is there to delay the slide, not for softening the recoil. Works great, but it can get hot. I still want one, but will wait. Maybe they'll bring 'em out in FDE, Green, Grey, other than black/silver.
