Ya right! Spend all day Friday making .22 ammo so I can shoot about 15 minutes Saturday morning. ...and half of them will probably be duds. I guess it's better than nothing in a pinch but much easier waiting for stores to restock their shelves.

I have been seeing 22 instock all over for regular prices. Only place im seeing it overpriced is the ammo for sale section on here. Tryed to get some the other day but the guy was firm on ten cents a round.[Shake]

I want one of these, with knobbies. comes with a trailer hitch. Slap a garden wagon on the back. Get 3-4 kids from the block in there, handing out beers (for donations) from the ice packed coolers.

Reloading 22. Sounds very tedious. I don't think I would spend the time.

I could see adding it to a survival storage as a way to handle the potential for re-using 22 brass when all your stored ammo has been used.

Or something to keep your kids busy.

$190 for a kit. It will take a lot of reloaded 22s to amortize that investment.

It's easier just to drive around looking for trailers full of ammo that nobody is watching.

Don't forget to include the cost of caps, powder and lead. [Coffee] I mean, caps? Where do you get those anymore? I like dudes suggestion to just pick up lead on the prairie, dunno about anyone else, but finding spent boolits takes a lot of time.

I've got to hand it to these guys for their industriousness. These videos remind me of something from Loompanics I saw twenty odd years ago. I wish I'd picked it up then. The fact that reloading is generally tedious came up this past weekend while shooting. Those of us who reload agreed that you only save money if you consider your time free. As far as time goes, without the TV, interwebz, and a cell phone, I seem to have at least a little more discretionary time. About keeping the kids busy, definitely get them involved. My seven year old daughter is fascinated by handloading and occasionally helps out for short stretches.

The thing is about reloading 22s is that trying to find the " strike anywhere matches.
Those are more scarce than 22 factory ammo.
Due to lawsuits and safety regulations, the only matches that I have seen in the last couple of years are the green tip strike on the box ones.

Wally world and jax sell them also didnt look at the price. There not around like the used to be but there still out there for now.

I have no words.

Oh to hell with that!
Just what we need on the streets, a grumpy inky old dude on a chopped and blown hoveround tossing beers.
Certain redeeming qualities to that!

Maybe interior design, anyone can work a keyboard. Stepping up to the plate, that's different.

The 22LR crisis is still in full effect here in Montana. These crazy hillbillies buy any and all ammo they can get their hands on with the exception of 223/5.56 which is readily available....for now

That sounds about right. The last box I bought about 4 years ago was 333 rounds and from memory I thought I paid around $14-$15.. Still have most of the box.. should have sold it. :D
