Well it is about time, Ferguson gets the National Guard! I would have posted in the original thread, but it was locked.

BUT BUT, CAPT. RON marched arm in arm, with his homies to show solidarity with the fine citizens of his old hood.
Oh yeah IBTL.

Autopsy by Dr Baden shows all entry wounds from the front. Kinda blows some holes in the story from the guy who was with Brown that he was shot in the back.

Human error due to adrenaline. It's easy to shoot 6" groups on paper at a range but shooting a person after a struggle is entirely different. It was my understanding that Brown didn't have a gun so not sure why the officer would've had target fixation on Brown's arm.
When the National Guard arrives, do you think they will be driving squad cars and wearing baseball caps?
Nothing like three autopsies on one body to help make things more confusing.
Where is the federal nexus for the DOJ doing squat in this case? Too bad Missouri Governor Nixon is a Democrat. Otherwise, IMO the state officials should be putting the feds in a building about 10 miles away, with a slow internet connection, and telling them that they will keep them updated on the investigation...just keep watching CNN.
I renew my prediction that when people remember this incident, no one will be happy with the outcome of the investigation or any judicial action.
Be safe.
Reported 2 in the head.
Hey did Gov Perry call for the Guard,,,[hahhah-no]

The diagram I saw from Dr. Baden looked like Brown's right arm was slightly elevated and partially folded (like having your hand up in front of your face). Apparently Brown was struck by six different bullets leaving multiple entry and exit wounds. Three bullets recovered in/on Brown's body. At least one bullet caused five entry/exit wounds, which is plausible for a hand/arm wound. Most likely last two rounds were head shots, the last likely being one into the top of Brown's head, indicating he might have been falling forward as the last round was fired. According to what I read, the head wounds were both fatal and Dr. Baden indicated that Brown would not have survived either wound had EMS been on the scene at the time the shots were fired.
Waiting five hours to move the body seems a bit long to me, but it certainly had no affect on whether Brown survived, at least according to what I've read.

Defensive wounds?
Or, the result of attempting to grab the officers sidearm away from him as some of the early reports claimed?
Curious how this "private" autopsy will correlate with the official autopsy.

The governor was on TV saying the police response to the protests was too heavy handed and that along with the media showing the pictures of the bad guy robbing the store were the reason the crowds got violent. So now he calls up the national guard? Talking out of both sides of his mouth.
The looting and violence need to be shut down now. Hopefully the NG does the trick.
The officer's home and picture has been shown on TV multiple times now. I hope he and his family are a 1000 miles away holed up safely with some heavily armed friends.

Wasn't heavy enough.

Doubt it, unless some of these molotov assholes get killed.

Washington DC 14 minutes ago (http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/18/us/michael-brown-autopsy-shows-he-was-shot-at-least-6-times.html#permid=12583567) Shooting an unarmed person six times is usually called an execution in every other country in the world.....except when it happens in the US and the victim is a Black or Hispanic young male...then it's called....self defense!
This one's the real icing on the cake. Curious exactly who in real estate FORCED this person of color, to purchase in said subdivision? I'll tell you, the commenter . Hypothetically, on suspect he wasn't going to move in to the same type neighborhood he NEEDED TO GET AWAY FROM !
I live in an area in Arizona where I'm the only black man around the subdivision. I often think about jogging outside but I know that I can't due to the state of the black man in the World.
Truthfully, I believe that I will get shot by a gun owner "just because" or I will get stopped while jogging by the police, "fitting the description" of someone they were looking for, again leaving me shot.
I'm a business owner with 2 kids, one 20 and a college student and the second, a 2 year old. I moved from Chicago to Arizona to raise my 2 year old in a safer place, so I thought.

I'm just guessing here. Let's say for argument sake that the officer contacted the two males for walking down the middle of the street at noon. He was unaware of the strong arm robbery that just took place. He tries to contact them and is assaulted while trying to get out of the car. The suspect does so possibly due to the belief he is going to be contacted by the police for the robbery, but we won't ever know that for sure.
During the assault, the bigger and younger suspect gets the better of the officer and injures him with a few good blows to the face, body, neck, what have you. The suspect was 6-4 and 300 pounds. Unknown on size of officer, but the officer was 10 years older than the suspect. There might have been a struggle in/on the vehicle for the weapon, either from the officer pulling it to defend himself or the suspect trying to disarm the officer or a combination of both.
The suspect disengages and runs away. The officer tries to chase him. There is a point where the suspect stops and turns to confront the officer again. The officer has his weapon out and orders the suspect to the ground, which he disregards. The suspect walks toward, rushes or makes overt attempts at shortening the distance between him and the officer. Officer fires weapon in fear of being beaten again.
What the investigation should show:
Firearm discharge in/on/near vehicle.
Possible scrapes on/in vehicle or damage from officer gear.
Injuries on officer. Photos of officer in uniform to show disarray of uniform/no disarray of uniform. Injuries to face, hands if present.
Shell casings in relation to the body. How many shell casings and where.
Radio calls. What did the officer radio out? Did he say he had been in an altercation? Shots fired? Did he call out the initial contact?
Food for thought off the top of my head.
This troubles me: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/lifestyle/general_lifestyle/august_2014/a_tale_of_two_cities_blacks_whites_sharply_disagre e_about_ferguson
So, according to this poll, 23% of adults in America have already decided that a Ferguson police officer is guilty of murdering Michael Brown, 26% believe the officer was acting in self defense, and 51% are undecided.
Has our society become so ADD that we can't wait a few months for a thorough investigation to be completed?
I know, dumb question. At least for once, I find myself in the majority, according to this poll.
In other news, I'm sure everyone noticed how many shootings/murders occurred in Chicago and NYC over the past weekend. I don't expect those numbers to overwhelm the media coverage in Ferguson. People love a train wreck. [facepalm]
Listened to the press conference a little this morning. All he kept saying was "assassination of this boy". This is only going to get worse.

First it was "teenager". To fan the flames, he's now a "boy". Dude was a MAN. A grizzly bear sized MAN. But that description isn't sensational enough for the media.

When will FEMA arrive to start handing out food and water to all of the victims (aka riotous looters) of Ferguson?

I thought there were laws about instigating a riot, apparently like all other laws those laws only apply to certain people in certain situations and circumstances.
Doncha just love selective law enforcement.

I also read that business owners are mad at the cops for not doing enough to protect their business's.

^^^^exactly!
I have no idea what happened. I know that an officer was assaulted and that an 18 year was shot and killed. The people who investigate this shooting will have a pretty good idea what happened and the jury will have a pretty good idea if it goes to trial. There are way too many people making up shit and getting all bent out of shape. Let the investigators do their job; if it needs to be moved to either a state or federal investigation, then so be it. This is all just an excuse to cause havoc, riot. and loot. I am sooooo happy I don't live in the city.

Yet if this protection of property resulted in more injury and possible deaths, those same people would criticize the cops for being too heavy handed. The cops there cannot win and I NOT envy any officer that still works for the Ferguson PD after this mess is over.
I also read that business owners are mad at the cops for not doing enough to protect their business's.

Businesses are one of those groups whose needs are ignored, after all, working 18 hours a day towards your dream...well you didn't build it, the community did. [Flower]
I wonder how many of those businesses will remain after seeing how little concern was paid to their safety.
Same thing will happen here, the scum gets coddled, everyone else gets the shaft.

When I was at the LA riots, it was the same kind of thing. A certain demographic was buring, looting and destroying. The shop owners (lots of Korean immigrants) standing in their doorway with shotguns trying to protect what they worked so hard to build. Ridiculous that people would steal and destroy things for any reason, but "seeking justice" seems even less of a reason.

That's almost exactly how I envisioned the encounter between Brown and the officer. I also thought it might've been likely Brown was holding something (like a box of cigars he'd just stolen) that made the officer think it was a weapon. Could also be why he was shot 4 times in the arm. If he was right-handed and moving his arms about the officer may have been fixated on what was in his hand.
But that's purely speculation on my part.
hollohas
08-18-2014, 14:46
The above are plausible scenarios. Doesn't seem likely he took 4 shots to the arm if his hands were in the air as witnesses describe. But that's an uneducated assumption on my part.

08-18-2014, 14:59
My thought on the autopsy was that the officer reacted to a perceived threat and moves off the X while aiming center mass. Brown wasn't able to orient and took the rounds in his arm before being knocked down and taking shots five and six in the dome
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2727321/Conversation-recorded-bystander-just-moments-Michael-Brown-shooting-casts-doubt-claims-teen-surrendered-Officer-Darren-Wilson.html
Plus this has just recently come to light now. More and more evidence is leaning towards the officer's story.

Yep...I was previously wondering how this was all going to play out and initially, I'll admit, thought the officer may have been in the wrong. But the longer this goes on and the more evidence comes to light I'm beginning to believe the officer was justified in what he did. No one on Brown's side is a credible witness...at least that I've seen or heard. Everything the PD has said is being backed up by independent witnesses and evidence.
Of course...none of that will matter to the professional, entitled victims that inhabit that town and who are using this to further their own agendas. And the looting and rioting will continue. And the race baiters and white-guilt types will go above and beyond seeking "justice", even if it's fabricated justice.
You can believe racism is alive and well in the USA...that's fo sho.
I'm curious as to what the NG's duties are gonna be. What "powers" are they gonna have to do their job tonight?

The media made a correction to the NG deployment. It's actually the NG Choir, pamphlets of select civil songs have been dropped, among the masses. Unfortunately the locals mistook the material for bottle stoppers.
Scanker19
08-18-2014, 19:49
People will complain about how militarized the NG is.
What doesn't make sense to me is if they are so upset with the local PD for "assassinating" an un-armed "boy"; why burn down your neighbor's place of work, instead of storming the local police stations and government buildings? Wouldn't justice for the "boy" include burning the killer's place of work?
But justice is not what this mob wants. As someone already stated, they just wanted a reason to score some free stuff. They know if they attacked the police, they would like loose their freedom or life.

I can't speak for the MO Nat'l Guard, but we have state statutes here which provide police powers to the Guard if the governor activates them and stipulates that power. During the fires and floods, we had that power and authority.

As far as I understand it the CINC of the Missouri NG, is the governor of Missouri. If the governor mismanages the guard, the president can "federalize" the guard. That means the president becomes the CINC of the guard. If that fails for some reason, the president can for instance send in the 101st Airborne etc. It has happened before in Little Rock...
